Remember good winter driving habits include:
- Planning ahead.
- Clearing snow from your windshield, mirrors and lights.
- Having a shovel and road salt in your vehicle.
Please slow down and drive according to the conditions in your area.

It’s not a suggestion, folks. I’m confident that where you’re going is not as important as what they’re doing in that moment. Slow down and MOVE OVER for @RNC_PoliceNL, @RNC_PoliceNL, @NL_HealthServ, fire trucks, and tow trucks. It’s not hard to do. #moveoverlaw #safetyfirst

Could not love this more ♥️ Absolutely amazing!
This sound bite from the @CoastGuardCAN is almost unbelievable.
Thanks to Jenna Goodyear for posting this on Facebook.
I’ve worked in the news industry for almost 20 years. I’ve lived in Newfoundland and Labrador for 10 years. When we report missing fishing vessels, the outcome is overwhelmingly poor.
What happened very early this morning is incredible! The crew of the Elite Navigator was found safe in their life raft by the amazing people of all the search and rescue crews that were looking for them.
The relief these men must feel, followed by the relief of their families, 7 familes, is probably indescribable.
I am thrilled to hear this news.

⚠️ As the weather heats up it's important to remember that even a few minutes in a hot car can be extremely dangerous for our little ones. Be vigilant and responsible. NEVER leave children or pets alone in a parked vehicle. #nltraffic

I don't claim to be an expert milkway photographer. I tried my hand at it years ago. I didn't do much with it as my life didn't allow for late nights. In the past couple of years I got an itch to shoot some milkway photography. I finally got a chance to shoot this scene with the milkyway this past weekend.
Some of the forecasts were calling for fog. Other forecasts were calling for mostly clear skies. I decided to take a chance and was lucky enough to get some clear skies around 1am. For most of the night the clouds were covering the milky way but it was clear on the opposite side.
After all the planning and learning, it could of easily been a failure. This type of photography is not for the faint of heart. I have huge respect for photographers who specialize in this type of photography. Thank you for viewing and have a great day!
