I am truly thrilled to announce that I will start as a tenure track Assistant Professor at Children's Hospital Los Angeles in the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute and Keck School of Medicine in March 2024! 🧠1/

The PBTC is more than a research program—it has been the only bridge from discovery to treatment for many children with brain tumors, the #1 cause of cancer death in kids. Without it, families lose options, trials close, and progress stalls. We urge @theNCI to reconsider.

Replying to @PBTC_Research
@PBTC_Research has led early-phase trials, giving kids with brain tumors access to innovative, life-extending trials when standard care fails. @theNCI's decision not to renew PBTC support in 2026 will stall progress, shatter hope and cost lives. #ChildhoodCancer

Medicaid is a lifeline for so many of our patients and families. It covers infants, children, and adolescents in every city, county, state, from every background. This federal-state partnership is the backbone of children's health care coverage in America.
Cuts to Medicaid would have devastating impacts on nearly 75% of CHLA patients. We are committed to providing high quality care, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we’re joining Speak Now for Kids in advocating for #Medicaid.
Join us and tell your representatives #MedicaidMatters and urge them to #ProtectMedicaid so we can continue caring for all children in our community.

Congratulations to this year’s cohort of @AllenInstitute Next Generation Leaders!
The Tsai Lab is actively recruiting for a Post-Doctoral Fellow! We are looking for a passionate and motivated scientist to join our team at @ChildrensLA to lead projects focused on embryonal brain tumors and diffuse midline gliomas. Please reach out! 🧠 jobs.chla.org/careers-home/j…
Happy Halloween from the Tsai Lab @ChildrensLA - we are The Western Blots! 🤠🎃
Congrats @EVasilevaSci @amatrudalab on this beautiful work! 🐠
1/4 Our @biorxivpreprint, 'Origin of Ewing Sarcoma by Embryonic Reprogramming of Neural Crest to Mesoderm' is now available on bioRxiv! In this study, we explore the enigmatic origin of Ewing sarcoma using our zebrafish genetic cancer models. We revealed that neural crest cells can uniquely tolerate EWSR1::FLI1 expression, leading to tumor formation in vivo. A big thanks to our collaborators @clairearataphd and @CrumpLab for this adventurous journey! #NeuralCrest #cancer #EwingSarcoma #zebrafish @amatrudalab @ChildrensLA @biorxiv_cancer👉biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Thrilled to participate in the @AlexsLemonade YI Summit this past week in Milwaukee @NM_Financial, and honored to be able to speak about the importance of data & resource sharing! 🍋
We had an excellent Young Investigators Research Summit this week! 💛
Each year, ALSF partners with @NM_Financial to bring together Young Investigators, ‘A’ Awardees and Center of Excellence Scholars to meet with other grantees funded by ALSF. Attendees learn about the latest childhood cancer research, connect with leaders in the field, explore ideas for collaboration and learn from expert speakers through poster sessions and panel discussions.
Thank you Northwestern Mutual for hosting the summit at your headquarters in Milwaukee this year!
The Tsai Lab is hiring an Associate Research Specialist to join our team at @ChildrensLA in summer 2025! Please reach out if interested! 🧠jobs.chla.org/careers-home/j…
Thank you @StBaldricks and @GriffsGuardians for their incredible support and tremendous efforts to fight childhood cancer!
Looking forward to this!
Friday 9/20 at 2:30pm, join the panel on #AI for #Pediatric #Cancer at the 2024 #BrainStormSummit in DC! I will discuss the platform we are building at our @UUtah spin-off, and our multi-tensor AI/ #ML underlying it.
The @PrismAIThera peutics, Inc. platform is uniquely able to accelerate #PrecisionMedicine. The multi-tensor AI/ML is uniquely able to identify actionable and mechanistically interpretable predictors from small-cohort and noisy, high-dimensional multi-omic clinical data.
Let’s partner up to cure the most devastating diseases!

This September, join us in the Million Mile Challenge with @AlexsLemonade. This year,@amatrudalab, @jestsai, and @BaMoghimi put together a "Brainy ZebraCARs" team to raise funds for pediatric cancer research (see the link below 👇). 1/2
Thankful to the Musella Foundation and @StacheStrong for funding our proposal: Experimental validation of AI/ML-identified therapeutic targets in
glioblastoma! 🧠 1/
Awesome and truly multi-disciplinary collaboration with @OrlyAlter - mathematics, physics, and machine learning meets cancer biology and functional genomics! 2/
Our lab @ChildrensLA is grateful to receive a grant from the Wright Foundation @KECKSchool_USC that will support research focused on new vulnerabilities in embryonal tumors! 🧠
Fall 2023: Instructed to follow up in March 2024 given budget had not been approved by Congress.
