BREAKING: The feds are in possession of Rep. Ilhan Omar's (D-MN) DNA and personal passport as part of the federal investigation into her US citizenship, colleague @davidspunt reports. It's unclear how her DNA was obtained, but sources tell David it was NOT from a trash can or dumpster. @FoxNews is told that reports of agents dumpster diving are incorrect. Additionally, David is told the feds have her personal passport as evidence. Her official passport (via her office) has not been retrieved, and authorities aren't concerned that she fled the country. They believe she in the U.S., and feel that if she were to flee the country, it would create problems for her down the line as her husband and family members are in the US.
DHS and DOJ continue to decline comment to FOX on the investigation.

I’m Polish. If France is your future, I come from the end of that road.
France shows you the slow version. We lived the full one – the version where the state doesn’t just take care of everything. It owns everything.
In Poland it arrived with Soviet bayonets. In America it would arrive by vote – slower, softer, with better slogans. But the destination is the same, and so is the mechanism.
It starts with prices. When the state decides what things should cost, prices stop telling the truth. A price is a message: this is scarce, this is wanted, make more of this. Abolish the message, and the whole economy goes deaf. So the shelves emptied – first of meat, then of almost everything.
Every Pole knew the joke. A man walks into a shop: "No meat?" The clerk: "No, sir. Here is no fish. No meat is across the street."
We queued for everything. People wrote their place in line on their palms and kept lists through the night. You waited years for a small car, and often more than a decade for an apartment. Not because Poles were lazy. Because nobody in the system had any reason to produce what we needed.
At work, we had another joke: we pretended to work, and they pretended to pay us.
And the promise of equality? It produced the most unequal system of all. The party elite had their own shops – Poles called them the shops behind the yellow curtains. Those with dollars shopped in special stores. Everyone else got the queue.
Then the system needed informers, because nobody believed in it anymore. Our neighbors were recruited to report on us. You never knew who was listening – the colleague, the friend, sometimes family. So we learned to live a double life: one language in public, another at home.
Those who spoke up got the wolf ticket: no job, no promotion, sometimes no university place for their children. Nobody needed to send them to prison. They just couldn’t live.
The newspapers reported record harvests while the shelves stood empty. Everyone knew. Nobody said it. That is what a society looks like when the lie becomes the system.
In 1950 we were about as rich as Spain. By 1989, Spain was twice as rich. That is what forty years of "fairness" cost us.
Today in America, the method is softer. Your neighbor won’t inform on you to the secret police. Someone will report your post, and you’ll be cancelled – no job, no account, no platform. Different tools, same machine.
We got out. Ten million of us joined Solidarity, and in 1989 a system that looked eternal collapsed. Since then, Poland has become one of the great success stories of Europe – because people were finally free to build.
But we still carry it. More than thirty years later, you can see it in the careful answers, the closed faces - the system leaves faster than the fear does. It takes generations to get out of it fully once you fall into that trap.
Nobody votes for the queue. Nobody votes for the informer. They come with the promise.
Trust me, you don’t want to go down that road.
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you.
I come from your future.
In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream.
Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them.
The promise was protection. The result is stagnation.
The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe.
I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has.
Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France?
Trust me. You don’t want to be France.

It is noteworthy when one encounters this practice we used to recognize as actual journalism.
This was one of the most PAINFUL CAR CRASH interviews you’ll ever see with Labour foreign minister Stephen Doughty on @GMB about Andy Burnham saying Russia interfered in the Brexit referendum.
Susanna Reid grows increasingly frustrated as he refuses to answer her questions, and even Ed Balls eventually tears into him for the “embarrassing waffle”.
Doughty is asked again and again about the Prime Minister’s claims but he just keeps ignoring the questions and repeating the same empty line: that Russia has been attempting to interfere with our democratic processes for many years.
Susanna tries to force him onto the 2016 vote itself. She asks what Russia actually did, whether it influenced voters, and whether it affected the result. He refuses to give any specifics and just repeats the line.
When she asks “Why are you not getting into specifics when the Prime Minister has just got into the specifics?”, he claims Burnham was only speaking more broadly.
She keeps pressing. He keeps repeating the line like a robot. She asks if the Prime Minister was wrong.
Doughty: “The PM has been very clear about Russian attempts to interfere in our democratic processes.”
By now Susanna is openly angry and accuses him of “muddying the waters not clarifying them”.
He almost laughably says the same thing again. He isn’t listening. He might as well have come on just to read a statement.
Susanna points out that if the result of such a huge decision was influenced, the public deserves answers about what the interference actually was.
Doughty claims the PM only said “attempted to interfere”. Susanna cuts in immediately: “He doesn’t say ‘attempted to interfere!’”
They play Burnham’s actual comments. Doughty goes straight back to the identical line. Susanna tries one final time. Same response.
It is at this point that Ed Balls, clearly fed up, lays into him:
“This is EMBARRASSING. It’s really bad for politics when you just blatantly don’t answer the question on something so important and go back to a nonsensical line, which is contradicted by what the Prime Minister just said!”
He goes further: “Either answer Susanna’s question or just say I’m not going to. This waffle is embarrassing!”
Doughty: “It’s not waffle at all Ed!” Then repeats the line yet again.
It is waffle, and I never thought I’d say this but well done Ed Balls for bluntly calling him out. It was embarrassing.
Andy Burnham should never have said it. We’ve been through all this. Russia did not in any way, shape or form influence the outcome of that referendum. Dragging this nonsense back up is reckless and a disgrace.

Passing time in a tightly packed airport coffee shop recently, I ended up in conversation with a thirty-something couple sitting only inches from me. I was coming from Mexico City and they were going there. After the usual banter, I asked where they were from and learned they were New Yorkers moving out of that city. They didn’t offer a reason and I didn’t press for one.
They asked me what I did for a living and I explained that I was a writer currently investigating how cartels were smuggling people into the US. I say I was chatting with this couple, but it was really only with her. He said nothing the entire time. But he listened intently as she asked questions.
“You travel a lot? Where have you been?”
“Well, so far this year, I’ve covered the WEF in Davos, researched Karl Marx in London, went to Gaza with the IDF…”
“You’ve been to Israel?” She interrupted. “We’ve been there. What do you think of the war?”
I guessed that here our conversation would end unhappily. They were New Yorkers, so almost certainly heavily propagandized lefties. But I pressed on.
“Almost everything you hear in Western media is wrong…”
“You mean it’s a lie. How?”
“Oct 7 was not just a Charlie Hebdo-style terrorist attack. It was an act of war. More than 7,000 Hamas terrorists penetrated the frontier at more than 100 points. Inspired by Islam, they had been instructed to r8pe, behead, torture, and kidnap men, women, and children.”
He still said nothing, but leaned forward, eyes narrowing.
“Who helped them do it?” She asked.
“Iran was the biggest supplier, but North Korea, China, and Qatar mostly. The UNRWA also played a role. Weapons and matériel were stockpiled in Egypt and smuggled into Gaza through tunnels.”
“You know that?”
“I know that. Trust me.” That led to a discussion of President Sisi, the Muslim Brotherhood, and my standoff with Egyptian State Security in Cairo. Still, I had no real gauge for where they stood politically. She asked if I had written anything on the subject, so I pointed her to my article for The Federalist connecting the dots between Egypt, USAID, Gaza, and my swatting.
A woman sitting nearby, leaned over and said, “Forgive me for eavesdropping on your conversation, but this is fascinating.” We all chatted a bit longer and I left.
About 30 minutes later I was standing in line at the gate waiting to board my flight when the husband appeared.
“Pardon me, but I had to come find you.” He was full of emotion. He indicated that he and his wife were Israelis who had lived in NYC but were now fleeing Mamdani’s third world sh*thole.
“You are a man who needs the protection of angels,” he said, and then presented me with a Jewish holy book. “We want you to have this. I pray it protects you.”
With that he turned and walked away.
Gentile and fierce Protestant that I am, I was nonetheless deeply moved. It seems they had read the article and, catching a glimpse of my work, felt my life was in danger. For my own part, I was aware that the same ideology that threatened me, was the same one that threatened them, forced them to move, and imperiled their native land.
I’m often amazed by the people the Lord puts in my path when I pause long enough to look around and notice them.

- in particular, we were going to swap out one Goodwill sofa for another Goodwill sofa for our temp rental house
- while southbound at a red light at 4th & Penn SE, I might have accelerated just a tick too fast
- …and our $17 sofa went airborne out the back of truck
- at this point, my 8-yr-old, with spectacular glee, shouted: “Big Red is on the loose!“
- we went around the block, and like a crazy person I hatched thus plan:
Somehow, in an act that would defy extant physics, my 54-pound kid would help lift a full-length couch into a rusty truck, in the sleet, during rush-hour. (Follow me for more #ParentingTips)
- by the time we got around the block, a homeless guy had commandeered the sofa and lugged it onto an island-median and set up shop
- It became immediately clear to all that it was in both his and our interest to just let him keep it.
Honestly, great great morning

Thx for the prayers — Turns out cutting out chunks of yer liver is no joke, man.
Good news, bad news, and next steps…
Good: big liver surgery last week successfully cleared out a bunch o cancer. (Pretty darn great — considering 9 mons ago, when told I had 3-4 months to live, surgery wasn't even an option.)
Bad: Tests on the tumors show they were more advanced than we thought — meaning always-mutating tumors have developed some resistance tricks to our former treatment protocol.
Bummer but that's life, and was eventually expected.
Next:
We're gunna change up treatment to carpet-bomb-chemo as much of the rest of the cancer as we can for a bit.
Send chemo tips -- do NOT send more Nickelback promotional materials (am painfully aware they’ll be performing at the Hondo Rodeo Fest in Febr).

.@AsraNomani always brings the goods, and the receipts.
A Fox News Digital investigation by @AsraNomani @M_Dorgan reveals the "spontaneous" anti-ICE protest that have erupted in Austin after a Venezuelan man was shot by an ICE agent are being coordinated by a network of socialist and communist organizations — not an organic gathering of concerned residents.
The Democratic Socialists of America, the Party for Socialism and Liberation and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization — groups with explicit revolutionary communist ideologies and ties to the governments of Cuba, Venezuela and China — mobilized within hours of the shooting, distributing nearly identical messaging, promoting the same location and using dramatic language calling the incident "ICE terror" and "police violence."
Congressional lawmakers have been investigating the broader network behind these mobilizations, including ties to Neville Roy Singham, a communist American-born tech tycoon living in Shanghai whose nonprofits fund pro-communist media platforms that amplified the Austin protest in real time.

Trump Bans the Fake News. So Obama Thunders Down from Olympus
The White House Press corps and the liberal media have gone ballistic over President Trump’s recent banning of CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House press room.
Apparently Trump had finally had it with their decade-long trail of “fake news” (e.g., CNN on the Steele dossier: the intelligence community had “corroborated all the details.”; MS(NBC): “All the supporting details in Steele's reports are checking out, even the really outrageous ones.”; and Politico (“Hunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say.”).
Or maybe it was Trump’s weariness that CNN and MS never learned from their serial untruth.
The former for years put on their news shows the admitted liar (“least most untruthful”) James Clapper; The latter likewise hired the twice-admitted-liar John Brennan (on his demonstrable spying on Senate computers, Brennan thundered under oath: “Nothing could be further from the truth. We wouldn't do that.”)
So after witnessing the fake news’s spreading lies about the “walls are closing in on Trump” Mueller Investigation, ginning up the “mostly peaceful” 2020 riots, running with the Jussie Smollett farce, demonizing the Covington Kids, iconizing the assailant Trayvon Martin, and promulgating the “Hands up, Don’t Shoot” Ferguson fable, and on and on—I suppose Trump finally had enough.
In reaction and as expected, a sanctimonious Barack Obama now has jetted out from one of his three mansions and into the expulsion controversy.
And also as his wont, Obama almost immediately on spec opened himself up to the usual charges of rank hypocrisy and empty, performance-art virtue-signaling.
So Obama thundered, “I’m trying to think what would have happened if I had said, ‘You know what, Fox News? You’re out of here.’ It’s unimaginable.”
Actually, it’s not “unimaginable”, if Obama would just look into the mirror.
So wait a minute.
In 2009 the Obama Treasury Department tried to ban a Fox reporter from a press pool interview.
Earlier during the 2008 campaign, Obama kicked out New York Post and Washington Times reporters from his campaign plane.
But Obama was most notorious not for just excluding politically incorrect reporters but for surveilling and spying on them.
Even liberal watchdog foundations blasted Obama in 2012-13 for grabbing the private records of some twenty phone lines used at home and on the job by Associated Press reporters.
Most notoriously, it was finally revealed in 2013 that Obama’s State Department secretly had bird-dogged Fox Reporter James Rosen relentlessly— tracking his movements, obtaining a search warrant to examined two days’ worth of his private emails, and getting access to his private phone records.
If Obama is still “trying to think what would have happened” when he surveilled and spied on a Fox reporter relentlessly, he can stop—since nothing as usual happened to the always exempt Obama.
And Obama did not just at times eject reporters and surveille them.
He also threatened to prosecute eight reporters and their sources (more than any administration before or since, including Richard Nixon’s). But he backed down when the AP and Rosen scandals surfaced and cooled down his Inspector Javert alter ego.
The hammer/stiletto difference between a loud Trump and a smooth Obama?
Trump blows up publicly, rails, and earns furor from “shocked”, sober and judicious journalists” who covet their White House billets—while he also earns the damnation of the liberal legacy media for his antics.
But far more egregiously Obama used the powers of the administrative state, secretly and quietly, to surveille, follow, and spy on reporters and their sources, while threatening to prosecute and jail others—and he disguised his vindictiveness by his lofty tone and polished demeanor.
As he anticipated, Obama’s victims and the media itself largely kept still, afraid to concede that their messianic “constitutional lawyer” possessed an Orwellian mean streak and was a far greater danger to the First Amendment.
Or as the Left taught us, the fundamental threat to our Constitution is when “democracy dies in darkness.”
Postscript:
Obama also could not resist his “clingers” like demonization of Trump supporters, in the fashion of Hillary’s “deplorables” and “irredeemables”, and Biden’s “garbage”, “chumps”, “semi-fascists”, and “dregs”.
So he also blasted not just Trump for the expulsions, but returned to his accustomed stereotype putdown of Neanderthal-like Trump supporters who are supposedly under-developed (e.g., “what that means is that we’ve have not developed the kind of understanding of what democracy requires”):
“If you have a certain cohort, let's call it 30 to 35 percent of the country right now, which thinks that's okay, well, what that means is we have not developed the kind of understanding of what democracy requires, and we've got to shore that back up.”
I wonder how Obama would do that shoring up of a third of America? Surveilling, tracking, and spying on them?
Note finally, that even Hillary’s deplorables were only half of Trump’s half of the nation, “You could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables”) whereas Obama writes off a third of the entire country!
He was 32 years old, on a business trip, with a pregnant wife and two little boys waiting for him at home.
On September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer boarded United Flight 93, headed from Newark to San Francisco. He was supposed to come home to his family. Instead, he became part of a group of ordinary Americans who made an extraordinary decision.
After hijackers took control of the plane, Todd reached a telephone operator on the ground. He told her what was happening, asked her to pray with him, and learned that other planes had already struck the World Trade Center.
The passengers understood that their plane was likely being used as another weapon. They had a choice: remain in their seats and hope for the best, or fight back.
They chose to fight.
Todd and the other passengers and crew members organized an effort to retake the cockpit. At the end of his call, the operator heard him say:
“Are you guys ready? Okay. Let’s roll.”
Minutes later, Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. All 40 passengers and crew members were killed, but the hijackers never reached their intended target.
Todd Beamer never made it home. Neither did the other 39 innocent people aboard that plane. But their courage helped prevent another attack on American soil.
They were not soldiers. They were people going to work, visiting family, and living ordinary lives.
And when the moment came, they fought back.
