My biggest realization regarding @Blockware's offering is that it is first and foremost a tax mitigation strategy. Many people have high ordinary income, but limited options to reduce their tax burden. While people may be inclined to compare buying Bitcoin miners vs buying Bitcoin... the more appropriate comparison is buying miners vs other strategies which aim to reduce taxes via investment in income generating assets — such as oil/natural gas drilling, aircraft leasing, real estate, or solar projects. High-net-worth individuals and businesses have a tax strategy *in addition to* their investment strategy. Starting thinking & acting like a HNWI or business!

NYC and the entire state of CA are clear evidence of the failure of (D) policies. When Democrats have permanent political power, these are the results: ▪️wasteful spending & bloated budgets ▪️high & increasing taxes ▪️inability to deliver basic services/projects (roads, bridges, fire prevention, rebuilding approvals) ▪️rampant fraud (theft) in healthcare/daycare ▪️homelessness & drug use on the streets ▪️criminals with 20+ arrests on the streets ▪️a growing population dependent on govt programs ▪️perpetual promises (lies) of fixing the problems if you just give (D) programs more money ▪️productive people & businesses eventually get fed up and leave for a Red state This is all obvious to anyone with intellectual honesty. Yet none of this matters to lifelong (D) voters. To them it's "vote blue no matter who." It's blind allegiance to The Party no matter what happens in reality. xitter.cf/RonDeSantis/status/202…

NEW: Another insane one involving Fairfax County, VA. A Tunisian illegal alien w/ 30+ arrests and 90+ felony & misdemeanor charges throughout northern VA who routinely has his charges dropped & ICE detainers ignored is back in local custody again. @NickMinock reports Fairfax DA Steve Descano botched a felony drug case against him last week that could have put him in prison for up to 40 years. Descano’s office failed to publish a witness list as required by a judge’s order, resulting in certain witnesses not being able to testify, and the case was dropped because of Descano’s error. Now he’s arrested again - this time in Arlington County, VA.

You cannot fathom how much they despise Elon. Slotkin couldn't get 400 of her comrades to like this tweet. If Jack and Vijaya still controlled twitter, Slotkin's tweet would have tens of thousands of likes, and anyone who disagreed with her would be deboosted or shadowbanned. If people shared her original video about targeting young conservatives in politics, there would be a community note saying Slotkin didn't really say that and she is a Very Good Person. But maybe she posted the same thing on Bluesky and it did very well there.

A picture is not worth a thousand words when it comes to passing one's family history on to future generations. Say a future generation has a photo of an ancestor, but they have no significant details of the person's life, and no one is around anymore to tell them. That picture is in need of a thousand of words.

JPM Asset Management's 31st annual Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions (LTCMA) for 2027 includes #Bitcoin for the first time, and assigns it the highest expected return. Noteworthy, to say the least. They also say the following. But it's pretty clear what direction this is all headed. "We review the potential returns from bitcoin (BTC) for strategic investors and conclude that while volatility has declined, unstable correlations to other assets impair any role it might have in a strategic allocation. As a result, we believe it is premature to consider BTC as a diversifier in a balanced portfolio. But should volatility continue to decline and correlations to other asset stabilize, this may evolve in the future, particularly as regulation becomes clearer and liquidity and price discovery continue to improve."

Many people know this John Adams quote. Most of them would admit our people are no longer moral nor religious. Yet somehow approximately zero people seem to care enough to ask the obvious: well okay what form of government is needed then?
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” -John Adams 1798

The Waldorf-Astoria...the building that stands today was built 1929-1931. The original was built in 1890s. The original has tremendous architectural detail throughout, whereas today's is boxy and looks as if it's only the skeletal structure w/out any impressive detail.

If you say this is a beautiful building, you are the people in The Emperor’s New Clothes who said the naked emperor’s clothes were very beautiful

Genuinely tragic. Not only are we not building beautiful new structures anymore, the existing ones are being destroyed by leftists.

George Selgin is a prime example of why economics is so dismal. The guy can write 10+ books on economics and have a tremendous knowledge of monetary history and certain concepts. But when he is faced with comprehending the most obvious fact that the vast majority of society has NO INTEREST in being a stock/ETF picker or a real estate investor — he fails miserably. George (the oblivious academic) actually believes that everyone is willfully choosing to become an amateur investor, rather than just saving the money they already earned. The reality is that simply saving money is NOT possible because of perpetual inflation. People are FORCED to become stock pickers and real estate investors. Yes, successful investing deserves a larger return than simply holding money, but it does not follow that simply holding money must be a losing proposition. One must genuinely wonder if George interacts with any humans outside of academia. xitter.cf/GeorgeSelgin/status/21…
To the charge of the believing “that people willfully choose to hold investments rather than simply saving money [meaning bank deposits and currency]” I plead guilty! What are these people smoking?

In the past few years, I have quite literally thanked God that Palmer Luckey is an American. This is another one of those times.
I am getting lots of incoming questions about the public execution of Nidal Hasan, mostly because I have been outspoken on wanting public executions for over a decade. My position is simple: Executions should be public and brutal, not private and medicalized. They are the ultimate example of the state's monopoly on violence, and the only way to keep that from running out of control is to confront voters with the trade they have made every single time, that they might have appropiate confidence or revulsion in the institution. This is not new thinking. George Washington thought the same. The way we have shifted from hanging to firing squads to doctors quietly injecting chemicals that send our worst gently off to sleep is awful and dystopian, a total short-circuiting of important feedback mechanisms. It makes needless executions more likely, not less so. People who demean this as barbaric or yucky miss the whole point. It doesn't somehow become torture or inhumane (as the UN is suddenly claiming) just because we decline to hide the act behind a curtain. And then there are those who suggest any revel in the death of those who truly deserve it is an indicator of a broken or diseased mind. To the contrary. It is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order. That it has not been done here in 60 years is an indictment in and of itself. And that is without even getting into the fact that men were not hung for stealing horse, but that horses may not be stolen. "I would to God that one of the most attrocious in each State was hung in Gibbets, up on a gallows five times as high as the one prepared by Haman. No punishment, in my opinion, is too great for the Man, who can build his greatness upon his Country’s ruin." - George Washington, 1778

Nice summary from Bill Maher. And he doesn't even mention that the D party allows criminals who've been arrested 37 times to walk free on the street, or that they enable billions of $ in welfare fraud. Also, Mao Zedong's regime never fell.

Ludicrous statement from Balakrishnan Rajagopal, professor at MIT. You can pay $90k per year for your kids to be “taught” by this guy. He says regarding US use of force: "And most of these uses of force have been against, I want to say, people of different colour and different religion or different, you know, socio-ethnic complexion. The warfaring, essentially, has been against non-Western people to put it bluntly."

If you pay taxes and you are at least mildly positive on Bitcoin, then a mining investment can make a ton of sense for you. It's actually that simple.

More context here. From a tax perspective, Bitcoin mining is not inventing anything new. The tax use-cases have been tried and proven by other investments. But Bitcoin mining has advantages over the other strategies such as: transparency, time to cash flow, capital payback period, scaling, upside potential, limited operational risk, and more. xitter.cf/jhaarblockware/status/…
