this is absolutely insane...easily the best speech model I've heard
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

Useless to see @claudeai fail to send any offline messages today. What a waste of time.
Their iOS app is dying slowly and needs better maintaining. That we still can’t see a properly unified chat and cowork after the merge says it all right now. It’s the only place let behind.

Sometimes technology is amazing - Baroness Campbell's voice restored.
Wonderful to hear Baroness Campbell's AI-created voice @UKHouseofLords for the first time; a first for @UKParliament & among the first in any legislature worldwide.
More than a tech milestone, it's very much HER voice, a powerful one for a leading disability rights campaigner📣

Weird that Ben Affleck uses python.
I always saw him as more of a .bat man
(if you are under 40 you probably won't understand this anyway so sorry about this)

I imagine given today’s ASOS news this role might be updated to “Can you start today please” ?
Looking for a new challenge?
ASOS are currently hiring for someone to act as 'Data Protection Officer'...

You know that feeling when you book a flight for 50 quid and somehow it ends up costing 100?
Getting seats together, correcting a typo, another charge here and there, it all adds up.
When the cost of living is already squeezing people, those endless extras can feel relentless.
So we're changing the rules for you.
Parents won't need to pay a penny extra just to sit next to their own children.
You'll be able to fix any name errors on your booking free of charge.
And because the last thing you want once you're on the plane is more stress, we're working with the industry to make sure that disruptive passengers who have been banned from one airline can be banned from flying with other airlines too.
I know holidays are expensive and these are small things, but hopefully they'll make your trip just that little bit cheaper and easier.
That's exactly the kind of thing I want this government to keep on fixing.

In the age of fake sponsorships, I commend Chelsea Football Club.
So committed to keeping the game pure that we operated without a FOS sponsor for 3 years. #wow

There’s been a lot of recent reporting and discussion around Steven Bartlett and The Diary of a CEO.
Rather than add another opinion, I wanted to see what the channel’s own public data could tell us. So I pulled together the history of the YouTube channel and analysed the videos, titles, guests, topics, colours, expressions, views and thumbnails over time.
Some of the questions I wanted to explore:
• When did business stop being the focus?
• When did the topics broaden?
• Why is Steven in every thumbnail?
• How have thumbnails evolved?
• Which topics perform best?
• Do celebrity guests perform?
• How much is A/B tested?
The research maps those changes across the history of the channel, including the evolution of its content mix, titles and visual style.
I’ve also published the underlying data and methodology openly, so journalists, researchers or anyone else interested can explore it themselves rather than relying on my findings.
