Since "aaS" has jumped into the chat, here's another interesting slide on licensing preferences. This ball is rolling slowly IMHO. #BIWisdom

Okay, let's cut to the chase since everybody is talking about this slide. I have lots of talking points but I’ll let you post your observations before jumping in with ours Have at it! #BIWisdom

I put in this slide on importance by org size because this year, very large organization use has caught up and in some ways surpassed small org use of earlier years. You see that small orgs might have more “mission-critical” use of cloud in core systems than big orgs #BIWisdom

Here we see that current penetration of at least some cloud BI use has cracked 60% and we’re down to about 10% with “no plans” for cloud. It’s not to say there’s not lots of legacy apps on desktops and servers #BIWisdom

So no big surprises but those two upbeat slides kind of set the stage for the rest. #BIWisdom

Here you can see our industry vendor importance trend and again, we see investment and, with that, current and future development well migrated toward cloud #BIWisdom

So here is the longer-term importance trend and it’s pretty much what we and others envisioned. On our criticality scale, cloud BI is near the level of “very important” #BIWisdom

First, we define cloud BI/analytics as Cloud business intelligence as “the technologies, tools, and solutions that employ one or more cloud deployment models.” It can be a big umbrella and parts are interpretive as they relate to apps and infrastructure #BIWisdom
