What a loss of emotions after arriving at Hospice today. There is no handbook telling you how you should feel at that moment
I once thought going on a school bus with a bunch of kids was the worst ride ever. I'm currently in a patient transfer bus with my wife on route to Hospice. This is a new nightmare

Just got a call from Hospice. There is a bed available and my wife is going tomorrow. She will be closer to homeβ₯οΈπ

As we apply for hospice, I finally gave in and had to hear what time we have left together. They expect a month or soπ’

I feel bad because I didn't cry today. My wife has had 3 consecutive good days. Small victories

Emotionally drained this week. Just when you think you can't cry anymore, tears start up again. Bedtime is horrible. I miss her at home

We went to the hospital to celebrate my son's 14th birthday with my wife. Sadly she wasn't awake or alert. So no cake.
He ran downstairs crying when we got home, upset because he wanted to have cake with his Mom. I hope this didn't ruin future birthdays π’

Greatest game ever
OTD in 1991, Jack Morris turned in arguably the best big-game performance ever π€
Morris threw 10 scoreless innings in Game 7 of the World Series as the Twins beat the Braves 1-0 in one of the most dramatic Postseason games of all time.
Scattering 7 hits and striking out 8, Morris became just the 3rd pitcher to throw a shutout of more than 9 innings in the World Series, joining Christy Mathewson (1913) and Clem Labine (1956)
The @Twins won the game in the bottom of the 10th on Gene Larkinβs pinch-hit single to give Minnesota its second World Series championship in five years.
Super conflicted today...
Go to the hospital and spend some time with my wife.
Stay home and wait for my son to wake up. It's his 14th birthday today! I let him stay home.
Sorry if this is my place to put words...
What I was expecting in life was to deal with the sickness a parent first...
What I got was my life partner being sick. The mother of my children.
She's got this!

Today wasn't a great day for my wife...
-a significant loss of strength
- her eyes started doing some sort of fish bowl look
We are back at the hospital now. She is going to be admitted. It's best for her.
I need the dark thoughts to leave
I'm not ok

Things I need to accept since my wife's diagnosis...
1. I need to accept help when people ask
2. I need to be able to say no to people as well. Visits are great, but a constant revolving door of company is draining. She needs rest.
3. I NEED to break down and cry

For my life partner β₯οΈ
We are rooting for you!

The outpouring of support and love our family has received over the last few days has been overwhelming! I'm not even sure how to give back the support during this difficult time

Thursday is a big day around here. My wife is getting her brain biopsy results. Positive vibes! β₯οΈ
So we recieved a call today. We are meeting with a team of doctors on Oct 15 to discuss the results of the biopsy. I really, really hope this is good news and a plan is put into place for next steps.
