Been waiting a long time to tweet this: For the first time in 33 years, Washington has won 11 regular season games, finally achieving what every other NFL franchise had done at least twice in the same time span.

Not enough people talk about how if you take the average stats of every hitter currently in the HOF, the result you get is a slightly worse version of Will Clark: Composite of all current HOF hitters • .303/.377/.469 (.846 OPS) • 406 2B, 224 HR, 1204 RBI Will Clark • .303/.384/.497 (.880 OPS) • 440 2B, 284 HR, 1205 RBI Despite posting stats that look so similar to your typical HOF'er that you have to squint to tell them apart –– not to mention the elegant swing, Gold Glove defense, and postseason heroics –– The Thrill received just 4.4% of the vote on his only HOF ballot appearance in 2006. An injustice!

Juan Soto is up to .301/.420/.512. Only four players in baseball history have gone 3/4/5 back-to-back in their age-21-22 seasons: Ted Williams and Jimmie Foxx in MLB, and Willie Wells and Monte Irvin in the Negro Leagues. Cover Story on Soto from March: es.pn/2UmrN46

24 year veteran of the LA police force pens an open letter to @KingJames ripping him for his attack on a Columbus, Ohio police officer & seeking a meeting to open LeBron’s eyes to the violent impact of his police demonization. Well done, officer. Read it: outkick.com/24-year-lapd-vet…

Terrible umpire has lucrative job for life, and complains it isn’t good enough. Cheers to the judge who made the right call here.

The way to fix attendance in Major League Baseball is not by letting marginal teams in the playoffs, but by creating an environment that influences teenagers to continue playing baseball thru High school. High school baseball players are fans for life. Create it. They will come.
