I have come to respect the fact that police experience things daily that I do not: extreme suffering, violence & fear; trauma on the reg. I don’t think I’ll ever come to respect a leader who trivializes their struggle by blaming a political figure or boss.
The head of the Chicago police union says a majority of the members "does not want to work for Brandon Johnson as mayor," and he's predicting as many as 1,000 officers could leave.
