XIV players embracing sims and cheese strats is pretty aligned with how prominent AI acceptance and usage among the general public is. They only want the reward they don't enjoy the process, they don't view challenges as enjoyable but rather a nuisance.

Really hope next race during the worlds first stream we get some more serious commentary. Not speaking about every person but some people have no experience with raiding and just make jokes the whole time really made me disinterested.
