Holy shit, I got the job! 😳
Two and a half years ago I was a teacher discovering variables and constants. Starting the beginning of 2023 I’ll be a professional iOS developer! 😁

Just decreased my internet costs by 30% by calling my ISP and just asking them to lower the price. Kinda feels like cheating 😅
DRM on digital books is such a head ache… just bought Abercrombie’s ‘The Trouble With Peace’ a second time to side step a bunch of bullshit with Adobes DRM software and different vendor locks and libraries.
Isn’t there a more frictionless way to go about this?
Anyone experienced with making money from App Store as a hobby in Sweden?
I made 15000SEK in 2023, now I have to pay roughly 5000SEK in taxes and 5000SEK in fees (egenavgifter), so ultimately around a third goes in my pocket.
Is this standard? Am I missing something?
If your Swift Vapor app is leaking memory and you can’t figure out why/where, I recommend trying out jemalloc. Still not sure what in the Vapor framework causes the leak but adding it to my Heroku dyno fixed it 🤩
Now suffering from backend hubris after managing this fix 😅
I’m getting a promotion! 🥳
As of June 1st I’m shedding my ‘Junior’ prefix. Quite proud of how much I’ve grown this past year and excited to keep growing! 💪

Hi, I am currently looking for a new role as an iOS Developer. I would really appreciate your support in finding a new opportunity.
I have two years of experience in developing iOS applications for world-class clients such as Paramount and NewsON. I have used Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI to develop apps. I am enthusiastic about creating user-friendly and engaging apps that meet the expectations of clients and users. I am open to remote, hybrid, and onsite positions, preferably in the Toronto area. I am also open to freelancing.
Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer.

Package Dependencies taking forever to load (almost) every time I switch branches in Xcode is sucking the life force out of me. Anyone who’s tackled this problem successfully?

What’s standard practice for contributing new features to an open source project? Do you just raise a PR with an explanation and see if the maintainer agrees or do you usually ask/discuss first? Would the former be considered impolite?
Can finally say I’ll be going to one of these!
I’ll also be speaking, which is exciting and a little scary! 😁

So many times I start reading a post here only for it to disappear with an update of the feed. I never seem to find it to finish reading 🫠

Hi folks!
I hope everyone’s doing good! I’ve taken these last few months as a personal break, but I’m ready to get back.
I’m looking for a new role as an iOS developer. If anyone has any leads or could help me out at all, I’d be really grateful!
Cheers and thanks in advance
It’s time again! 🥳
Some frequently requested stuff in this one, so pretty excited! Also some more major structural changes both in backend and frontend, so a little nerve wrecking 🫣 definitely more testing done than usual!
