Most of the people I wanted to thank have now left X, which I understand. However, the person who helped me most with an early draft of 'Going Back for Suzie' was the superb @DebiAlper so, thank you Debi.

At last. First draft was written in 2011, but I have now KIndle published my 'first' novel, 'Going Back for Suzie,' under the pen name of Kate Beynon. Lots of people to thank - see follow-up tweets!

Upset that the walrus chose Scarborough then Blyth. Clearly the Wear would have been most appropriate stop-off point and we are disappointed at the decision.

'Not a complete clown' says new comms chief about Boris. Talk about damning with very faint praise!! theguardian.com/politics/202…
Why am I not surprised?
Informed @DWP my sister had died and her Pension Credit should cease. Letter today informing me she is no longer entitled to it but to let them know if her circumstances change. Is this the best you can do? Really!? 😡
Me to Tony: 'Have you done today's Wordle?' Tony to me: 'No, too busy doing today's Workle.'
Topical cracker joke 1. Q. 'Prime Minister, is it true that you and Carrie hosted a knees-up in the maternity ward?' A. ‘Nope, not us’ said Boris with an oily smirk. ‘That was the Labour Party!’ Can you do better? I bet you can!

Too good to be true? You’d think, but sometimes you just get lucky!
In 19th century English, the expression ‘Come, come, that’s Barnard Castle!’ was used as a response to someone who had offered a flawed excuse for their actions. (fr. English Proverbs & Proverbial Phrases: A Historical Dictionary, 1929)
