Fab to see the Govan-Partick bridge open to the public this weekend 🎉🥳. Look forward to taking a wee run across it soon and get some great views along the Clyde 🤩

History is made as Glaswegians cross the Govan-Partick Bridge for the first time!
The crossing is at the heart of Glasgow Riverside Innovation District – a partnership with the city involving UofG, @GlasgowCC & @scotent.

The Canadian model has shown us the unintended consequences of assisted dying laws for those who felt a burden to loved ones. It’s not hard to see how loneliness and isolation could influence decision making to this end too 😣
There must be a better way.

Professor Allan House, a psychiatrist, cautions that loneliness and social isolation will affect the decisions people make with regard to assisted suicide.
Loneliness will affect people's decisions - psychiatrist
Psychiatrist Professor Allan House says that social risks and vulnerabilities tend to get neglected in the debate about assisted suicide.
After looking around Rome over the last few days. Made me wonder..
What will we create in 2024 that will be around in 1000+ years and held in such reverence and awe as this? 👇
Anything at all?
Suspect my older sister would say the same about antidepressants being life saving many years ago. A balance of risk and benefit at the time, and (with other complimentary non 💊therapies) one which has led to a largely medication free life.
I’d like to thank everyone for the totally unexpected response to this 👇 very ordinary tweet, on an extraordinary night this weekend.
Truly in awe of Mother Nature 🤯

My first time ever canvassing round the doors in my local community. It is so interesting to hear how badly people want change.

A sink🚰and lavatory pan🚽don’t amount to an “ensuite facility” in a care home 🙄Let’s give Care Workers the space they need to provide decent personal care 😳and to support independence. And give residents a bit of dignity🫣Please share! ❤️It’s time! youtu.be/boaZ8YnXsg8?si=iZF7…

It’s a perspective we hear little about and largely not part of the mainstream narrative, which puts the needs and focus on the person living with dementia—not the caregiver and how they are affected in the journey.
Interesting and valuable thoughts👇 – at Glasgow, Scotland
Narcissism and the person with dementia. Why Carers need to be given as much information as possible about the help that is available to them. Every day I hear from people who are on their knees.😢 juneandrews.net/dementia-and…
