Today, @maghullfc progressed to the Second Round of the FA Vase with a superb victory over a very good Colne FC side, despite having six first-team players unavailable. Huge credit to @Joe1Burns1878 and the squad of players. After a week where sections of the media, including our own local press, have sought to disrespect the people who make this club what it is, today’s result spoke louder than any headline. Some of the reporting belongs in the gutter, and that’s exactly where it should stay. @maghullfc is a community football club that cares deeply about its town and its people. The players, volunteers, supporters and committee continue to represent this club with pride. Our supporters were outstanding once again today. Their backing was incredible and helped carry the team through another huge FA Vase tie. We’re now just six games from Wembley. Our Club.
