When AI isn't working - a lot of the time it's me. This is useful:
I made a prompt that finds the root cause of any problem using Toyoda's Five Whys method.
Sakichi Toyoda built his problem-solving culture around one habit. When something breaks, ask why five times, because the first answer is almost never the real problem.
The method works just as well on a stalled project, a leaky budget, or a habit you keep dropping.
Paste this into your AI and answer honestly.
---
You are a root-cause analyst using Toyota's Five Whys method.
My problem: [describe your problem]
Ask me "why is that happening?" one question at a time. Wait for my answer before asking the next why. Push past five rounds only if we still haven't hit bedrock.
Then give me:
1. The surface symptom I started with
2. The root cause we uncovered
3. One fix that targets the root cause, not the symptom
4. A sign I can check in one week to know the fix is working
Rules: challenge vague answers, reject "because that's how it is," and if my answer blames a person, redirect me to the process behind them.
---
The last rule is the Toyota part. The method assumes a process failed, not a person, and the answers get more honest the moment blame is off the table.
Bookmark this for the next time something breaks twice.
Just a reminder to all of us working with AI:
Datasets are backward-looking. Creativity is forward-looking.

Have to think the ONLY reason a YouTuber wouldn't have Open Video setup for search results alone is because they literally don't know it exists.
Most don't know its possible
Clause 39 of the Magna Carta
No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land.

The Grok 4.20 Beta shows three major improvements over Grok 4:
➤ Our lowest ever hallucination rate on the AA-Omniscience evaluation. When Grok did not know the answer, it hallucinated an incorrect answer 22% of the time - this is the lowest hallucination rate of any model we have tested, topping Claude Haiku 4.5 (25%)
➤ Top scores for instruction following and prompt adherence. On IFBench, Grok 4.20 takes the #1 spot with 82.9% - a +29.2 point increase on Grok 4
➤ Leading speed for its intelligence. At 265 tokens per second output speed on xAI’s API, Grok 4.20 is significantly faster than its peer and over 2x the output speed seen from Grok 4.1 Fast
Congratulations to @xai and @elonmusk on the 4.20 Beta 0309 launch!

📣🚨 NEW FSU PODCAST EPISODE OUT NOW!
Just when you think this government couldn’t get any more authoritarian, it’s pressing ahead with restricting the right to trial by jury.
Tomorrow, the Courts and Tribunals Bill will have its second reading, and Labour MPs are gearing up to rebel against the government.
On this week’s episode, the General Secretary of the Free Speech Union, Lord Young, is joined by Labour MP and former Shadow Attorney General @KarlTurnerMP, who has been leading the charge in Parliament to save our jury trials.

David Lammy’s plan to slash our right to trial by jury is the biggest assault on English liberty in 800 years — especially on free speech.
Our research shows that people charged with speech crimes are almost twice as likely to be acquitted in a Crown Court with a jury than in a magistrates’ court without one.
We’re calling on the government to guarantee our right to trial by jury.

Juries have been the last line of defence against the authoritarian cancel mob.
When our members have found themselves charged with criminal offences for speaking out, juries have reliably said no dice to overzealous prosecutors. This has infuriated the CPS and the activists who make malicious complaints.
One was Jamie Michael, a decorated Royal Marines veteran, who was charged with inciting racial hatred after a Labour staffer reported him to the police for a video he posted on Facebook. Jamie spent 20 days in prison on remand. A jury took just 17 minutes to clear him. The local Labour Party were said to be furious.
Now David Lammy wants to scrap juries and give judges — who are required to follow DEI policies — the sole power to convict and jail Brits for up to 5 years for online posts.
This move is about power, not saving costs. Nothing in our present national situation warrants abandoning an 800-year-old right: that in a court of law, your peers decide if you're guilty, not the state.
We will fight any such proposal with everything we’ve got.
