Hey @BBCSport can you fix your style guide? Words have actual meanings and a team that's losing isn't "on top". What you mean is something more like "against the run of play".

"[the killer] had a 16-second gap to notice the bicycle but failed to do so." Barely a consequence for reckless driving that took a life.

You look at the first story and think "surely this is the tipping point, surely this is the moment the system stops treating killing people with a motor vehicle as 'one of those things, oopsy, don't do it again!'". Then you look at the second story.

In one of those funny days on this site, the UK feed is aflame with demands that cyclists use the road, not roadside space designated for cyclists and pedestrians. French feed... is aflame with demands that cyclists get off the road, and use the roadside space...

I'm going to be honest I am a teensy bit concerned that Oxford Town Hall may be hosting someone completely mad, if not also rather racist. Are we OK with telling Jews the Holocaust was their own fault and theirs alone? Am I missing something? @OxfordClarion @OxfordCity

Right who wants a map of places in Britain which are also hymn tunes? @theabingdontaxi @WalkerMarcus maybe? Wrong hymnal for you two but it's the one I could find already available as a spreadsheet. I imagine the overlap is very high. public.tableau.com/views/Hym…

What fun can we have with this dataset this year? How about... every pollution measurement in every location in 15 seconds? I'm taking requests... @rail_guns
Air pollution in Oxford continues to fall, according to the 2024 Air Quality report issued by the City Council today. NO2 pollution fell 10% from 2023 levels, and 24% on the High where electric buses made a big difference. Levels in LTNs and their boundary roads also decreased.

15 years of showing data can be fun rather than a nightmare. Giving its software away for free to anyone was the best decision @tableau ever made.
15 years. 11 million vizzes created. 5 million people exploring data. Countless moments of insights and inspiration. Here’s to the power of sharing data with the world! public.tableau.com

I have an image of Jenrick running through the streets with a flat cap and a Barbour jacket under his arm giggling to himself with a naked Farage chasing him
Jacob Rees-Mogg has said he is backing Robert Jenrick to be the next Conservative leader, saying he believes he can ‘steal Nigel Farage’s clothes’

The LTNs in Wytham Woods are a bit rudimentary but they seem to be doing the job.

Who is the person on here who does reimaginings of car-dominated street scenes as what they could otherwise be, possibly with some help from AI? I have a suggested location if they're feeling bored/generous. Feel like I've seen them retweeted a lot by cycling twitter.

Will squeeze through any gap no matter how inappropriate to save five seconds. Must be so stressful to live that way.
