Giving thanks today for 40 years ordained ministry and reflecting on a deacon’s calling (as expressed in 1982). Much has changed over those years but the call to serve, to strengthen the faithful, to search out the careless & to preach the word of God remains at the heart.

Not a bad way to spend a working Saturday. Glorious sunshine for a cycle to Barnes and Kew; and meeting some brilliant Churchwardens. Archdeacon’s Inspections day 4. @SouthwarkCofE
