An open letter to Brian Murphy, CEO of #HarperCollins
Re: #HCPonstrike @hcpunion
We’ll keep this brief. Pretty sure your inbox is overflowing these days.
We’ve both had the privilege of being longtime authors with HarperCollins. (1/6)
I do! I am open to queries for the foreseeable future.

Someone graciously checked me on this, and I want to make a correction— my definition of under-represented voices extends to white or white appearing under-represented authors, of which there are many. BiPoc would probably have been the better term to use here. My apologies!
So, we watched the first ep of Wednesday, and while I think the cast is stellar, it feels odd to see the Addamses among other "weirdoes." I think they work better juxtaposed against normie suburbia.
I do! I represent authors living all over the world.

I've said it before, but send me those dangerous, life-saving stories. I want stories that move readers, moments that make me look up and say “Wow, yes. I’ve felt that.”
Again, submission guidelines are here: publishersmarketplace.com/me…
Queries reopen 12/01/22! Let's make books together!

If Twitter crashes and you need to find me, the hell you will. I've got a two day head start on you, which is more than I need. I speak a dozen languages, know every local custom, I'll blend in, disappear, you'll never see me again.
We're hitting the point where every tweet could be your LAST TWEET.
Anyway, just a reminder that the estimated cost to end child hunger in America is $25 billion dollars, about half of what Elon paid for Twitter.

It was always my dream to write about book publishing once I left it. Thanks to @mariskreizman and @vulture for giving me the chance to cover the most compelling story in publishing this fall. vulture.com/2022/11/passion-…
