CORRECTION: This post and opinion video states that Abdul El-Sayed gave his acceptance speech in Arabic. That’s not accurate. In fact, he said a few phrases in Arabic, but the majority of his speech was in English. The Free Press regrets the error.
manspreading to make space for my mansplaining that the feathered headdress I'm wearing is not the jocular insensitivity of a frat bro but a macroappreciation for those on the color spectrum through the sensitive prismed eyes of an uncolored boy
A statistic that sounds fake but isn't: Not one single white American man born after 1984 has published a work of literary fiction in The New Yorker.
It's not because they stopped writing. It's because The New Yorker has refused to publish them. The publishing industry has blacked out a generation of male writers & then they wonder why boys don't read.

It's official: LIV is dead. In New Jersey Bankruptcy Court, LIV lawyers confirmed the company will be winding down. @TheAthletic
and it was constantly shrouded in an oil-thick sludge of quasi-racist anti-Saudi sentiment
most of these detractors felt comfortable tweeting on a Saudi-backed website while deepening the impressions on their clutched pearls

what is art, but God and nature?
what is modern life, but a steady movement away from the spiritual and natural?
unmoored and moving determinedly towards the synthetic and simulational
and so the world shrinks to only the conscious of man, his contraptions and communications
and the art that follows reflects this
it becomes reliant on the referential, overly concerned with it's situation and too aware of it's relativity
Notion "won" because it made the artifacts presentational and collaborative
and because it mostly viewed "thought" as "work", and built compositional frontends for business-oriented purposes
the same reasons the Google/Apple/Microsoft office suites are durable
if "the squeeze" is read to be a venture-backed or bootstrapped effort to commercialize generalized thinking tools
and "the juice" is monetary rewards
luckily, there's still plenty of other reasons to want to build these types of software
