Is the CPD section of your annual review framework looking a little empty - make sure it is full by the end of the academic year - join me in Warwick for @The_AUA's #AUA2023 conference!
A brilliant concoction of development, inspiration, and connection with peers is guaranteed!

I've always found his content stimulating and insightful, so why not subscribe to Chris Dalton's Substack drchrisdalton.substack.com/?…
Apparently yesterday was Adminstrative Professionals Day!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Admini…
But can anyone declare a day to have special significance? or is there some quango/body that considers & approves these things?
I would have mentioned AHEP, but we've moved away from the term Admin!

I find the deliberately inflammatory & contradictory self-reinforcing statements in @academyofideas bulletins irritating
".threatening to log a non-crime hate incident (NCHI), We’re all hate criminals now"
If the police are investigating a non-crime incident. Then not criminal?
And you can't comment on the bulletin unless you're a paid subscriber?
Therefore re-inforcing the group think aspect to online chatter & the didactic approach of @academyofideas which seems to actively discourage alternative viewpoints....
(imho)
It's a funny old world we live in when every remarkable comment or viewpoint is also reviewed to see if it's potentially exploiting the social media inclination for outrage to drive publicity.

I wonder how much utility there is in the corporate strategy & planning cycle right now, at a time when the sub text of organisational priorities seems to be merely staying afloat?
Haven't had much sight of the 'golden thread' in this year's review cycle so far ...
A delight to see @LSBU in the top half of this @GdnUniversities 'Leaderboard' despite my misgivings with their methodology..

"It sounds less like a roar of triumph, than the echoing cry of someone falling down a large ravine"
Fantastic review of the new @katyperry single & video by @laurasnapes1 of @guardian

Was delighted to bump into George Passmore in the polling station this morning, looking immaculate as he always does.
Really looking forward to the Belle Epoque Election Night party this evening!🤞
Can't wait for Tom Cruise to take his mask off: @coldplay @glastonbury
Have to admit they are killing it so far... Hope there's another special guest coming up!
I enjoyed reading a #PenkilnBurn bulletin just now, with BillDrummond's thoughts about pop right now:
"Rock Stars with cocks are just so last century" 😆
But on the last point - the girls screamed SO Loud when I saw Billie Eilish at the O2 in 22, I'm not sure this is true...
Well I thought Ed Davey came across very well as the 1st party leader on @bbcquestiontime tonight.
Better having one at a time rather having them sniping at each other.
Let's see how the others do, not expecting much from #MrPotatoHead.
As we approach the anniversary of @Dockyardchurch opening its door once more - great to acknowledge the support we received from @HeritageFundUK & highlight the wonderful roundels we created to acknowledge this! #HeritageFund
