nflation is a signal that nominal spending is outrunning the economy’s ability to produce real goods and services.

Honest Signals: How They Shape Our World
Lots of human behavior can be reliably predicted from unconscious communication mechanisms. These unconscious social signals form a separate communication network.

Having written the definitive book, Hollow Land, on how Israel utilised architects and road planners to erect its apartheid system, Eyal Weizman is now training his forensic architect’s eye on the architecture of genocide.
UNGROUNDING is the true story of how Israel engineered Gaza’s wholesale desertification. Remarkably, Weizman delves beneath the surface to uncover incontrovertible evidence in Gaza’s soil and subsoil of Israel’s strategy to annihilate every marker and reminder that could re-connect Gazans with something reminiscent of their home, their land, their place.
UNGROUNDING is a brilliant, shocking and urgent book for our times, as well as a precious warning to future generations.

Pretty soon students are going to be turning up at economics courses having read about Modern Monetary Theory: knowing more about government spending/origins of money/central bank versus commercial banks and so - than their tutors. Lots of difficult questions in the first term.
