In our home, the weekends are for family. Those with us and those we’ve lost. It’s not about forcing awkward conversations (2 and 4yo don’t care to hear about great-grandparents). It’s more reminding ourselves what life was like with them, and trying to replicate it for our kids

Grief is so weird because it visits you during moments of victory and joy to remind you of its dominance— grief finds you with a champagne glass in your hand about to toast your win & it asks, don’t you wish they were still alive to celebrate with you? Then deep sadness sets in.

Read somewhere that grief is just love with nowhere to go and can’t stop thinking how true that is

Love doesn't die when people do. It continues, sometimes grows, and that's what makes it beautiful and worth having.

you know what sucks about grief, one minute you are laughing like nothings wrong & the next you can break down crying because of something so small that reminded you of your loved one.

It's been a rough couple years for us all. We'd like to help a bit.. If you've lost someone recently, take a moment to signup for our waitlist at chptr.com and DM me. @join_chptr is gifting memorial videos to as many people as we can from that list before we launch

none of us, no matter our status, are exempt from pain, from grief, from trauma. the human experience is both a beautiful and terrifying one, but one that we all experience, together.

Bob Dole was a man to be admired by Americans. He had an unerring sense of integrity and honor. May God bless him, and may our nation draw upon his legacy of decency, dignity, good humor, and patriotism for all time.

We say we will never forget. The problem is we often do. Not because we want to, but because the tools at our disposal were designed entirely around the idea of "putting someone to rest,” not for remembering. Social media and obituaries were simply not designed for this. 👇🏽 – at Manhattan, NY
