Great question by @DrJasonWestin #SOHO2025 #lymsm session: when will #AI Machine Learning models be used in real time in the clinic? @jonaspaludo @MayoCancerCare the time is now.

Come talk to @Jacob_Shreve_MD tonight #EHA25 poster session to learn how we are using AI to predict CRS long before the first symptom. Earlier prediction=earlier planning & opportunity for risk adapted management. Key to expand access to #CART #BsAb @MayoCancerCare @jonaspaludo

Acalabrutinib Plus Bendamustine-Rituximab in Untreated Mantle Cell #Lymphoma
buff.ly/35DAdE7
In a randomized phase III trial of 598 patients aged ≥65 with previously untreated mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), adding acalabrutinib to bendamustine-rituximab significantly prolonged progression-free survival (66.4 vs. 49.6 months; HR 0.73, P = .016) compared to placebo, with benefits observed across all subgroups, including those with high-risk disease. The combination yielded higher overall and complete response rates (91.0%/66.6% vs. 88.0%/53.5%), though overall survival did not significantly differ between arms. Grade ≥3 adverse events were comparable (88.9% vs. 88.2%).
Suggesting that the addition of acalabrutinib provides meaningful clinical benefit with manageable toxicity in first-line MCL treatment.

🚨 @ASCO Abstract 1535:
Many people with #cancer will experience a neutropenic fever over the course of their care journey. Traditionally, this requires a lengthy hospital stay while awaiting count recovery. This decreases patients’ quality of life, increases the cost of care for patients and health systems, forces delays in care, and limits the quantity of time patients are able to spend outside the hospital doing the things they love. At @MayoClinic @MayoCancerCare, we built a program to change that.
Introducing the “DEFeNDR” program - an innovative remote patient monitoring (#RPM) system designed to facilitate safe and effective outpatient management and give time back to our patients. And that’s just the beginning.
I am beyond proud to present the first glimpse of this work at #ASCO23. We show that patients participating in the program spend less time in the hospital. In addition, when readmitted, patients using the program experience shorter length of stay and lower rates of intensive care unit utilization.
Come learn more at the poster session on Monday, June 5.
