I'll be the first to admit this is a long time coming: @GolfDigest's gear podcast finally has a new name and dedicated feed.
Welcome to Club Lab 🧪
Same data-driven discussions on the latest gear, tour trends, and interviews with the people who matter most in the industry.
How much does driver distance change when you alter speed, loft and AoA? The 🤖 has some answers.
Attempted to break down the data findings in the latest robotic analysis piece for @GolfDigest.
Been a minute since I gave something away... so let's change that.
@SuperStrokeGolf was kind enough to send me one of their limited-edition Día de los Muertos putter grips.
Just repost and be following to enter. I'll pick a winner at random on Friday. Good luck! 💀
Sharing this deconstructed WITB from a shoot with Si Woo Kim's @CallawayGolf clubs, accessories and more.
One of the items in his bag that didn't make the cut — but might wind up being one of my all-time favorite finds: a single Marlboro dart tucked inside the front pocket.
Like to think it's his "break glass in case of emergency"...
.@MiuraGolfInc collaborated with @StephenCurry30 on a blended set that consists of TC-202 (4-6) and MB-101 (7-P). The 6-iron was weakened from 29 to 30 to match Curry's number.
Each comes with a COA, but 30 "golden tickets" have Curry's actual signature. Limited to 300 sets.
Is it the end of an era for one of Brooks Koepka's long-time clubs? The TaylorMade M2 3-wood (16.5) has been replaced by a R7 Quad Mini (13.5) at the Dunhill.
Time to see if this is a one-week addition or something longer-term.
Back in April at McLaren's Miami launch event, I was told a third iron model was coming that would get the masses talking.
Going to assume the Series 2 cavity-back that Justin Rose is testing at Dunhill is the iron in question. Comes in a raw version, too. 👀
Rarely see guys change putters during the biennial matches, but that didn't stop Justin Thomas from switching to a @ScottyCameron Xperimental 10.5.
Looks like a flow neck instead of the jet, too.
For our latest 🤖 analysis, we took a look at spin and carry consistency for 30 of the latest irons.
Unlike previous years, we're expanding the impact data from three points on the face to six.
Interactive graphic (story below) allows you to click on each iron and see the carry numbers for all six zones. You can also compare models and filter by brand/category.
Have fun!
Brooks Koepka returned to a @ScottyCameron TNP2 Teryllium — same putter he used to win the 2023 PGA Championship — at the Irish Open.
First time he's used a blade since January (Torrey Pines).
