I haven’t talked much about what I’ve been building lately, but today I want to share it.
LockedWeb.com is live.
LockedWeb is a porn blocker, but the idea behind it came from recognizing a flaw in most filtering software:
We design the boundary when we’re thinking clearly, then give ourselves the ability to instantly remove it when we’re not.
LockedWeb changes that.
There’s no instant off switch. Removing protection requires a 72-hour cooldown, and the filter remains active while you wait.
That one constraint is the heart of the product.
But I also cared a lot about how the product worked.
Privacy: LockedWeb doesn’t store your browsing history. I don’t think protecting yourself or your family should require creating a permanent record of everything you do online.
Speed: Filtering happens in milliseconds. We designed it to quietly run in the background without constantly scanning or analyzing your screen, which can add processing and battery overhead.
The goal is for you to forget it’s even there, until it blocks something you don’t want getting through.
As an entrepreneur, I love building products and solving difficult technical problems. But I also wanted my next business to solve a problem I believe genuinely matters.
Porn is damaging a lot of people and families, including people who sincerely want to stop.
It’s something I think about even more as my own children enter adolescence.
And through years of mentoring people in church, I’ve seen how widespread the struggle is. A 2024 Barna study found that 78% of men and 44% of women surveyed reported viewing pornography to some extent.
This isn’t a small problem.
It’s early. There’s plenty left to improve, and I’ll probably share a lot of the building journey here as we go.
But today, it’s officially out in the world.
My hope is pretty simple:
Help individuals and families who decide they don’t want porn in their lives or homes put a boundary in place that’s private, fast, and much harder to undo in a weak moment.

Crazy stat I saw today:
Super Mario Bros for the NES was only 40 kilobytes (KB) in total size.
Not 40 MB.
40 KILOBYTES.
32 levels with enemies, physics, graphics, and music.
The entire soundtrack took roughly 1.5 KB.
The way they did it was 🤯 mind blowing.
Everyone said ChatGPT ads suck... but I tried it anyways.
@OpenAI @sama - Why is your ad platform sending almost entirely bot traffic?
65% of visitors left in 0 seconds. 17% stayed longer than 2 seconds. Meanwhile... Google and Meta avg time is 1 minute+.
It could be such an incredible platform.
Stay away.
I wonder if ChatGPT and X ads suck because only the “cheapest” users see ads.
Maybe that’s Metas secret. Their highest value users still see ads.
ChatGPT Ads - Who has had success with them?
I've not seen a single positive thing and yet I think... maybe it'll work for me?
Going to give it a try and report back.
BREAKING: Critical RCE vulnerability discovered in punch cards.
Attackers can execute arbitrary code simply by punching holes in them.
See the PHP exploit...
Me: ah, nice to not have any php projects...
See the nodejs exploit...
Me: welp... I know what I've got to do today

I don't think Wallstreet is adequately pricing in how much demand that $AAPL has for the Duo.
Can't get one until end of JANUARY right now.
Bullish. Gonna buy more stock Monday.

Sometimes a demo is simply to remind the world that your competition has no desire to dream -- and no ability to evolve.
New business model unlocked:
