I hope someone in the Senate has taken the opportunity in the last few hours to rub Ted Cruz’s nose in the spot where he peed on the carpet and he can manage to behave himself when they’re back in session.
Which would be worse for Donald Trump: impeachment and being barred from future public office, or PERMANENT TWITTER BAN?
It’s soooo encouraging to see how many Republicans found the courage to stand up to Donald Trump in the last 14 days of his presidency. Truly brave. 🙄
Not sure which part about this fascinates me more: that Paris Hilton was more-or-less able to make something edible, or whether she thinks she is somehow teaching anyone anything about cooking? youtu.be/ayImIgdgLEI

For a hot second I thought the song playing as background music at the conference I’m attending was the theme to “The L Word” and I thought, wow, that’s a bold choice. (Unfortunately I was wrong and the world is a little less interesting than I hoped.)

Also I think the next song might be some kind of crypto-Christian pop rock but I’m not sure.
You know what’s worse than the long lines for the men’s room at tech conferences? The fact that there aren’t more women in tech.
Weddings are actual physical gatherings at a time and place, and it turns out that’s hard to put inside contutors and send through the tubes: vox.com/the-goods/2019/3/1/1…

Or as I said to the friend who sent me this: “You can figure out anything doesn't work after you throw a few hundred million dollars at it. Just ask the board of Theranos.”

Also, in the footnote: “Comiskey is Comiskey and Marshall Fields is Marshall Fields and the Sears Tower is the Sears Tower and the Hancock is the Hancock and the Tribune is the Tribune.” 💕💕💕

I’m struggling to understand how the impeachment process or the 25th Amendment, both parts of the Constitution, are more of a “Constitutional crisis” than an anti-Trump cabal operating in secret in the executive branch.

Either invoke the 25th or resign en masse and testify before Congress, but stand up and say it in your own name instead of conducting government in the shadows and undermining the office of the Presidency.

Dear Prudence (@evilmallelis): Is life a rich tapestry? Just checking to make sure, because it’s a fast-paced world we inhabit, and I haven’t heard you say it lately. Thanks for considering my question.

For the record, I concur with nearly every word of @kenjilopezalt’s 5000-word manifesto on BLTs. seriouseats.com/2016/08/blt-… I grew up amid garden-farms in Michigan where tomatoes are one of the great joys of summer, and the BLT is but a vehicle for appreciating them. #blt

Quibbles: I don’t shred the lettuce (but still always iceberg or green leaf), and I like the bacon slightly on the chewy side rather than shatteringly crisp. Agree on all aspects of tomato, mayo, bread choice. TIL: try making the toast in bacon fat! 🥓

Sometimes @SenWarren just needs to go to Target: “It’s just a few hours, six hours that I don’t have to think about Mitch McConnell.” #girlihearyou nymag.com/daily/intelligence…
Jimmy, in reference to not knowing how to work something: “I’m sorry I’m the old fogey whose VCR is flashing 12:00!” Me: “You realize young people wouldn’t even get that reference?” 😂
