Film now live! Our Wales tour series begins in Welshpool. A James Braid course daringly laid out in 1929 on the hilly moorland above the town, reminiscent - as Braid would later remark - of Gleneagles.

As I was in the area I thought it rude not to take a detour and see sundown over the golf course "perched on the roof of the world".
Welshpool warms my soul.

When golfers hear the word "thatch" it’s usually not a good thing. But what is thatch and why is it such a big deal in course maintenance? #GSRrewind 👇

Every piece of golf course maintenance equipment has a lifespan, but it’s not always easy to explain when the time has come for replacement. Here’s a way to put equipment life into terms most people can understand #GSRrewind 👇

There’s a new list from @TheTodaysGolfer of the Top 100 fun courses in GB & I.
Fun is a subjective thing (!) so I wouldn’t agonise too much about the actual positions on this list.
But it’s a lovely selection of courses and I think most people would enjoy playing any of these!

There’s a new list out today from @TheTodaysGolfer. @CJ_Bertram has ranked the best courses in GB&I with greens fees of £65 or under (or €).
It’s nice to see there are still some good options for reasonably priced golf!
Any favourites or recommendations from this list?
