You "shared some tears" because they're holding a Harry Potter event for kids in a park ?
You "disavowed" @jk_rowling ?
Are you in a cult ?
Last night, @ParkBoard did the right thing. Apologized to TGD2S community after emotional discussion. Shared some tears. Disavowed JKR. Will undertake concrete actions to rebuild trust.

Is this the tamer version of the tweet you deleted? Looks like it.
.@Dave_Eby was an unmitigated disaster for BC & for Canada. He embraced every destructive progressive policy fad—drug decrim, genderwang, unmarked-graves social panic—and it is a special treat to see his arrogant election gambit end with his humiliation

(In the great tradition of trash-heap BC progressives, Eby will now get a well-paid sinecure at SFU or UBC teaching one grad seminar a month on the underappreciated awesomeness of all his policies)
I think this tough-guy threat would be more credible if the people making it didn’t go on a three-month mental-health leave every time they got misgendered by a waitress at Kelsey’s
The competition is getting fierce
I’m conflicted about Toronto’s election. On local issues, I tend to swing left (as a cyclist, I’m a supporter of bike lanes, which drive conservatives batty for some odd reason) But progressive candidates tend to also embrace the genderwang-antizionist-DEI omnicause. What to do?
What’s the over/under on how long it takes to get the obligatory tear-drenched media profile of BC genderwang families planning to “flee” the province bcuz it’s now an “unsafe” environment for castration enthusiasts
When the first such story appears, pls post in comments
Transgender rights advocates are raising concerns about proposals from OneBC to restrict how sex and gender identity are recognized in British Columbia, warning that policies targeting Trans youth could undermine their safety, access to healthcare and well-being 🏳️⚧️

She doesn’t need to worry about the economy or the $13.8 billion deficit, because she’s not a income tax payer in BC

"Dave Eby a été un désastre absolu pour la Colombie-Britannique et pour le Canada. Il a embrassé toutes les modes politiques progressistes destructrices — la décriminalisation des drogues, la réforme du genre, la panique sociale autour des tombes anonymes — et c'est un plaisir particulier de voir sa manœuvre électorale arrogante se terminer par son humiliation."

"every federal party except the Liberals and Conservatives"
okay, so 27 people
This was a lot of fun. If you’re in Toronto for the @HdxAcademy conference, I’ll be moderating another panel at @UofT in the early afternoon, this one on “Views from Beyond the Ivory Tower”
in Toronto for the @HdxAcademy conference, great panel with @wokal_distance, @FrancesWiddows1, and @Aaronpete_ moderated by @jonkay

As one outside editor observed, this is grad school writing at its worst

along with the other dozen or so wing nuts who demanded that Galloway be smeared as a rapist were fellow taxpayer-salaried academics Julie Rak (@UAlberta ) & (Erin Wunker @DalhousieU). They produced an insane book about it, funded by 6 govt agencies. Your tax dollars at work

If you want to prosecute people for spreading misinformation that led to real harm, here’s a good place to start your investigation

the grubby little CanLit clique that tried to cancel @MargaretAtwood for supporting Steven Galloway’s due-process rights didn't just call her a "bad feminist," as this article states. Hannah McGregor (head of publishing at @SFU) called Atwood a "shitty white woman"...

This is the first time @NDP member of Parliament @LeahGazan has confirmed she wants to imprison writers if they point out that the unmarked graves in Kamloops don’t exist. (I was a contributor to the bestselling book she mentioned, along with Flanagan) This party has lost its mind
A Winnipeg NDP MP says the party has no intention of limiting free speech and wants to see residential school denialism made a prosecutable hate crime in only the most extreme circumstances.
That's on Nation to Nation.
