One of the simplest and most powerful teachings of Jesus Christ is “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
I find it noteworthy that Jesus Christ didn’t say blessed are the peace lovers or the peaceful. He talked about being peacemakers—makers of peace.
When we make peace, it is not only conflict resolution in its highest form, but we reflect our divine nature as children of God.

Cooper has had a whirlwind four months as a pro, but his life's foundation of faith started 22 years ago.
“I promise that if you make time for the Lord, you will be blessed... Choose the right, do your best and work hard,” Cooper told @tbtoone recently.

This summer, I sat with President @OaksDallinH, the President of @Ch_JesusChrist. I felt it was a huge responsibility to allow him to share his feelings and his testimony of Jesus Christ without getting in his way or detracting from his message. He is God's prophet. 1/5
The interview with President @OaksDallinH and Sister Kristen Oaks is available on YouTube here:

TL;DR version?
President @OaksDallinH loves Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He is trying his best to serve them.
President Oaks loves every generation of his family — past, present and future.
God's plan for the eternal happiness of His children is rooted in family.

70% of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up. He rules. theatlantic.com/technology/2…

People still don't believe me when I tell them. Look it up. NCAA.com ranked me the best 3-point shooter in college basketball this century. Ahead of Curry, Korver, Redick, all of them.
I didn't have the school, the stage, or the spotlight. I had the reps.
That's still the only rule I know that works.

It's not optimism. It's hope. It's hope that comes from faith in a loving God who wants what is best for all His children. And last night was a chance to hear from many global religious leaders expressing that shared hope under one tabernacle roof.

Do I want the @Brewers to win tonight against my @Dodgers? No way! Am I still cheering for @CooperPratt4? You better believe it!
Happy @tbtoone talked to him and his family for @the_churchnews.

My wife and I just finished reading 2 Nephi w/ our three daughters tonight. Grateful for another chance to tell them Jesus redeems — me, them, everyone.
"I glory in plainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul from hell." - Nephi (2 Nephi 33:6)
