I don't know anyone in Twitter , but I can share something from my experience: When someone says you must 'give 2-3x+ more of yourself & your time to meet the "new standard" or else you're out' - leave. "New Standard" is codeword for 'drain yourself for me' and won't end well.

“…and the core infrastructure services that keep the site up and running.” I’m already surprised Twitter is mostly ‘still running’, (I say mostly as I’m assuming there’s stuff broken that only some people have noticed) Pretty tragic.

Update: company sources tell me that yesterday Twitter eliminated ~4,400 of its ~5,500 contract employees, with cuts expected to have significant impact to content moderation and the core infrastructure services that keep the site up and running. People inside are stunned.
