A CEO responding like this? @marclou solved his own problem and cut costs. On a much smaller scale, I did the same years ago by switching from SendGrid to my own solution and saved a lot. AI is making it easier for others to do the same. If people have similar needs, there’s a market. Questioning reliability is fair. Insulting builders and users is unnecessary.

Almost a year ago, I built a tool to find broken links on Marc Lou’s websites. It ended up catching broken links on Vercel’s website too. They noticed and fixed them. Since then, it’s run over 1.9M link checks and flagged broken links more than 14,000 times. Originally, the full report was behind a paywall. Nobody paid. So I decided to make the data useful. I redesigned the scanner and built a public ranking where anyone can see the results for free. Each report also includes a prompt you can paste into Codex or Claude to help fix the issues. It now runs 30+ automated checks for things like missing social previews, duplicate page titles, unlabeled buttons, and insecure resources. It also checks whether your content is readable without JavaScript and flags AI crawler restrictions. Your site gets scored and ranked. Out of 340 websites, only 2 earned an S-Tier badge.
