AES Advances Towards Healthcare Sovereignty The absence of critical healthcare infrastructure has forced many Africans to seek specialised treatment abroad. But across the AES, the revolutionary leaders are investing in medical facilities, developing local expertise and expanding the capacity to perform complex procedures at home. From Mali to Burkina Faso and N*ger, these developments point to a bigger ambition: achieving healthcare sovereignty and building systems capable of meeting the needs of their own populations.

This morning, @Spearhead_Af's TikTok account was finally suspended after months of receiving nonsensical strikes for things like mentioning "Niger" (which TikTok insists is a racial slur, instead of the name of a country in West Africa). Our new TikTok handle is @SpearheadAfrica

African Media's Great Betrayal Of Africa Do you know that there is a difference between 'African media' and 'African-based media'? In this report, senior reporter @Big_Mck explores how the vast majority of reporters, journalists, and media platforms on the continent are trained, funded and conditioned to deliver output that does not serve the interests of their African audiences. Mckay analyses how this came to be, what subversive entities are behind the large scale foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI) effort against Africa, and what you as an ordinary everyday African news consumer can do about it.

There's diplomatic partnership and theres diplomatic dictatorship. Russia and China enter partnerships while the usual suspects dictate what they want out of whatever ship they're entering.
Russia-Africa Summit Vs France-Africa Summit: Compare And Contrast Delegations from 48 of Africa's 55 countries were present in Moscow at the recent Russia-Africa Summit where multiple infrastructure, energy, defence and economic cooperation deals were signed to further dependent Africa's relationship with the world's foremost nuclear power and 8th largest economy. In this analysis, senior reporter Mckay Chukwu highlights and compares the stark difference in purpose, engagement, and meaningful results recorded at this summit in contrast with those recorded at France's so-called "Africa Forward" summit in Nairobi, Kenya in May 2026.

I have a genuine question for my African followers who are honest enough to answer. Have you ever seen your local Russian, Chinese, Iranian or North Korean embassy arrange meetings with your country's opposition leader? Did you ever see a Russian diplomat meet with Raila Odinga? Or a Chinese diplomat meet with Peter Obi? Or a North Korean diplomat discussing state affairs with Nelson Chamisa? Maybe an Iranian diplomat discussing "investment" with Issa Tchiroma? Why is it always diplomatic missions from Western Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand that pull this particular stunt? What is it about that specific demographic of diplomats that entitles them to blatantly interfere in their host country's local politics this way? When was the last time you saw or heard from your local Russian or Chinese embassy? Do you even know the ambassadors' names? Yet why is your local US or UK ambassador almost a celebrity in your country? Why are they constantly roaming around poking their noses everywhere it doesn't concern them, and what gave them that right? I really want you people to answer me.
Chargé d’Affaires Rolf Olson, Deputy Chief of Mission Faris Asad, and Political Counselor Justine Treadwell met with Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin to discuss priorities for Ghana’s upcoming parliamentary session and ways to strengthen U.S.-Ghana trade and investment ties. As we approach 70 years of partnership, we are committed to bringing American business expertise and innovative to drive economic growth in Ghana and across the region.

Here's a story you may not have heard before.
Tulsa Race Mass*cre: When Jealous White Americans Destroyed 'Black Wall Street' Did you know that in 1921, the local government of an American county armed its white citizens to raze a thriving, peaceful black community to the ground and m*rder hundreds of its residents? And did you know that it took 76 years for the US to even acknowledge that this atrocity happened at all? In this report for The Spearhead, @okorieuche_ sheds light on the Tulsa Race M*ssacre.

African Proverb of the Week When one looks at Africa and its relationship with the West today, one could be forgiven for questioning whether the last 500 years of human history occurred at all. 500 years after unleashing the greatest reign of t*rror in recorded history upon the African continent, the West prances around Africa, plundering the continent’s wealth and calling itself its savior, while the majority of Africa’s present leaders serve as its happy vassals. This arrangement works primarily because the vast majority of Africans, in the Motherland and the diaspora, know next to nothing about those 500 years of t*rror. Without knowledge of the true nature of their enemy, they cannot draw the otherwise obvious link between the state of their continent and that enemy, and this too is by design. This East African proverb reminds us that only a recognized threat can be overcome, and as the people of Africa continue to till their cultural, social, political and economic farmlands, they must be wary of the stones littered across this land by their enemy to sabotage their efforts.

The Colonial Clock: Who Designed Africa's Retirement Models? We talk about colonialism’s obvious legacies in Africa: IMF structural adjustment programmes, debt traps, "aid" tied to economically-crippling policy changes, externally-fueled conflicts and t*rror... But what about those colonial legacies which we have normalized so much, we barely even notice or question them? What if we told you that even the age at which you are allowed to retire as an African is just another Western colonial weapon fashioned against you? @sannario_ reports for The Spearhead.

By the time US democracy is done with Nigeria, 225 million of the approximately 230 million people will be multidimensionally poor. As @DavidHundeyin always say, whenever you wake up is your morning.

Burkinabe President Ibrahim Traore publicly criticised so-called 'Political Islam' some weeks ago, triggering fierce backlash from certain quarters. For @Spearhead_Af, @sannario_ tackles this thorny topic using perhaps the biggest example in the world as a case in point.
The Fallacy of Political Islam: A Closer Look at Traoré’s Message When President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso rejected extremism, critics and defenders alike misread his message. In this report, @sannario_ shows why distinguishing between Islam as a faith and political Islam as an ideology of power is critical for the future of Africa—drawing vital lessons from Sudan's tragic trajectory and the Sahel's current security challenges.

Burkina Faso Brings Back Death Penalty For T*rrorists, Traitors, Spies On October 20, 2026, the Burkinabé National Assembly unanimously voted to reinstate capital punishment in the country for those who threaten its national security. The reactions from Western media were as amusing as they were unsurprising, and speak to an arrogance on the part of the West that borders on insanity. The West does not get to tell Africa how to defend its interests while being the primary threat to those interests.

No such thing as the transatlantic slave trade. It was the European slave trade. The ocean didn’t enslave anyone. The Arab slave trade is called just that. No one is naming it after an ocean. Europeans always try to evade responsibility for their crimes and language is one of their most effective weapons.
