No chamber. No family connections in the High Court. And no idea how a young advocate is supposed to build a practice while staying within the rules. I realised that the traditional chamber system isn't the only path into law. Young advocates can find opportunities in areas such as business notices, compliance, labour issues, cyber-fraud cases and other practical legal problems that people face every day. But there was another question: I spent a lot of time reading Rule 36, court judgments and BCI directions instead of relying on the usual "this is how things are done" advice. And I documented what I learned. I wrote this book for the first-year advocate who doesn't have a mentor. Inside, I cover: โ€ข How to start earning within your first 90 days โ€ข What different opportunities can actually pay โ€ข How to find your first three clients within the professional rules โ€ข How to set your fees and invoice clients โ€ข A practical month-by-month roadmap for your first year Social media has made it easier than ever to see other people's success. And somehow, harder to appreciate our own progress. You can be doing well in life and still feel behind because you're comparing your reality with someone else's highlight reel.

Realized itโ€™s already past 10:30. How did the day disappear so fast?

The Indian middle class has a strange problem. Earn more --- upgrade lifestyle. Upgrade lifestyle --- need to earn even more. At what point do we stop increasing expenses and start increasing freedom?

A lot of people don't actually want to be rich. They want to stop checking their bank balance before making ordinary life decisions. Sometimes financial freedom isn't luxury. It's the absence of constant financial anxiety.
17
Sometimes you're not behind in life. You're simply using someone else's timeline to measure your own progress. Different responsibilities. Different starting points. Different definitions of a good life. Comparison ignores all three.

We need to normalise three things in India: 1. Saying 'I don't know.' 2. Changing our minds when presented with facts. 3. Respectfully disagreeing with people we love. Maturity isn't knowing everything. It's being willing to learn.

We often ask children, 'What will you become when you grow up?' Maybe we should also ask: What kind of person do you want to become? A career tells us what someone does. Character tells us who they are.

Honest question for people working in India: If your salary doubled tomorrow, what would change first? A) Better lifestyle B) More savings and investments C) More freedom to leave a bad job D) Starting your own business I'm curious which one people actually choose.

India doesn't lack talent. We lack enough systems that allow ordinary people to turn talent into opportunity. Imagine what we could achieve if a young personโ€™s future depended less on connections and more on capability.

Microsoft just offered buyouts to around 60,000 employees. Thatโ€™s roughly a quarter of the company. Not official layoffs, but a voluntary exit package for people at VP level and below in the US, Canada, India, and UK. Some teams are fully participating (Xbox, Windows, Copilot, finance, HR), others arenโ€™t.

This isnโ€™t just a Microsoft thing. A lot of companies are doing some version of the same play investing hard in AI while quietly reducing headcount elsewhere. The transition is happening faster than most of us expected.

Would you take the buyout or stay? And do you think this is mostly cost-cutting, or the start of something bigger?

The Jio IPO conversation is a reminder of something important: A famous brand doesn't automatically mean a good investment. Hype gets attention. Valuation, fundamentals and risk determine whether the decision makes sense. Never confuse popularity with value.

The dangerous thing about comfort is that it rarely feels like a problem. It feels like a good life. Until one day, you realize you've stopped growing. Stay comfortable with being uncomfortable. #Goodmorning
