Back from Madrid. Thanks to @URJC for the guest lecture invitation. I talked about migration, media & Latinxs in the Global North. I connected w/prospective students for UA’s M.A. in Bilingual Journalism and advanced fieldwork for my forthcoming book on Latinx diasporas in Spain.
Love those first days of classes when we get to brainstorm about the year ahead! Meet the new University of Arizona NAHJ Student Chapter Board, an outstanding group of bilingual & bicultural students ready to build community, create opportunities, and inspire journalism students!

Thanks to Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona for the kind invitation. I look forward to engaging with students, educators, researchers, and community members to share and discuss findings of my ongoing research projects. More info: uab.cat/es/medios-comunicaci…
