“No matter what happens, Jesus is King” does not invalidate anything except the plan of the enemy to divide and conquer. That truth is paramount to our faith as Christians, and as such, should be spoken over every situation and season of life, come what may.

Fire Sonny into the literal sun. Fire Tommerdahl into the sun after him. Fire almost every offensive coach save Malcom Kelly into the sun after them. Protect Andy Avalos and the defensive staff with our lives. This shit is so unacceptable @Buddie52

The fact that this was Arizona’s viable path to victory is incredibly embarrassing.
Alright guys here's the play. We're going to miss the two pointer, because we don't want the tie, we want the win. So on the kickoff, instead of an onside kick, we're gonna kick a looping knuckleball at a random walk-on that doesnt have a jersey nameplate and ruin his whole life. Then instead of running the clock out? We'll kick it with 40 seconds left. As a joke. Then we'll pick them off when they think they have hope. Ready? Break.

Every GOP strategist, consultant, and candidate should be forced to participate in a role-playing exercise this morning. Your name is Bob. You’re a 49-year-old blue-collar worker in Ohio. You’ve always struggled to make ends meet. The good jobs were all shipped to China and the few remaining pay a pittance wage, undercut by endless illegal labor. You’re a 3x Trump voter because you believed he would finally make America great again. You put your son through Ohio State. He graduated cum laude in computer science. You couldn’t have been prouder. After months searching, he landed an entry-level job at Microsoft. Beneath his qualifications, but a good start for a smart kid. Then he got laid off. That same month, Microsoft applied for 150,000 more H-1B visas because it can’t find qualified Americans. Your son has spent six months back in his childhood bedroom, sending hundreds of applications without landing an interview. On TV, Trump boasts about the greatest economy in history and how many women and minorities are finding jobs. You decide a father-son steak night might cheer him up. Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Filling your truck costs over $100. At Kroger, ribeyes are $30/lb. You settle for hamburger, even though 70/30 ground beef still costs $10+. At checkout, a fat black woman is screaming at the cashier because her EBT will only cover most of the filet mignon and lobster in her cart. You think to yourself how the Iran war has made everything expensive, but at least we’re stopping their nuclear bomb. You weren’t even sure where Iran was before you googled it after we first bombed them in March. After dinner, you take your son to the county fair. Half the people aren’t speaking English. Virtually none of the crowd looks like you. You’re forced to leave early after a “teen takeover” turns violent. A foreign born judge pledges none of them will go to jail. Back home, you turn on the TV. Vivek Ramaswamy is lecturing the crowd about American mediocrity and why Ohio needs more foreign talent. Your son grows upset. You change the channel. Now a Republican surrogate, the daughter of a governor or wife of an elderly billionaire, explains that young White men are the REAL welfare queens. They’d rather play videogames in their parents’ basements than work. Your son says nothing. He just goes back to his childhood bedroom. You turn off the TV. Then your neighbor starts blasting reggaeton and cracking open Modelos. He brought his cousin’s family from Mexico to help with all the minority-business contracts his construction firm keeps winning. Tonight they’re celebrating his nephew’s birth, the family’s first birthright American citizen. You sit alone in your living room. You worked hard, paid taxes, obeyed the law, and raised your son to do everything right. You voted Republican again and again because you believed somebody in Washington would finally fight for you. Instead, your wages are stagnant. Groceries are unaffordable. Your community is unrecognizable. Your country is fighting another foreign war. And upstairs, the son you sacrificed everything for is lying awake in the bedroom he slept in at twelve, wondering what the heck he’s even supposed to do with his life now. Every time you turn on the TV, the Republicans you elected are either congratulating themselves or explaining why you and your son are the problem. For ten years, they told you America’s future depended on your vote. Now you aren’t even sure America has a future worth defending. The Republican Party needs to answer one simple question this morning: You’ve spent a decade demanding Bob’s loyalty. You’ve given him stagnant wages, unaffordable groceries, another foreign war, and a son who did everything right but can’t find work. And when they complain, you call them lazy, entitled, and racist. What possible reason have you given Bob and his son to vote Republican? Do you honestly think you deserve their vote?

Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises. All Republicans had to do was: 1. put Americans First 2. not start another war 3. prosecute sex traffickers

73 balls. London. One golden moment. We drove the balls representing Harry Kane’s goals for club and country to London, gifting them to former teammates, people from his hometown, and the places that shaped his journey – from the streets where he grew up to his former clubs, as well as the heart of London City. All leading up to one golden moment last night. Harry, we’re incredibly proud of you. Here’s to everything we’ve achieved together – and everything still to come. ❤️🤍

🚨 Toni Kroos on Harry Kane winning the Ballon d’Or ahead of Kylian Mbappe: “I’ve seen some people saying Mbappe was robbed. I don’t agree. Kylian is an exceptional footballer. I know what he can do, and I watched his performance against Barcelona. Scoring twice in a Classico is impressive. But I think people have become confused about what they’re actually arguing. Are we discussing who is the more exciting player to watch? Who is faster? Who can dribble past 3 defenders? Or are we discussing who had the better season? Because those are different conversations. I remember something from my time at Madrid. After one match, we were sitting in the dressing room and one of the younger players was watching highlights on his phone. He showed me a goal and said, ‘Toni, look at this. Incredible player.’ I watched it and said, ‘Yes, very good.’ Then he showed me another clip. And another. Eventually I asked him, ‘Did his team win?’ He said, ‘I don’t know.’ I told him, ‘Then maybe we should find that out before deciding he’s the best player on the pitch.’ He laughed, but I wasn’t really joking. Football has become very focused on moments. A player scores a spectacular goal, everybody shares the video, and suddenly we’re discussing whether he’s the best in the world. But a season isn’t one moment. It’s what you do in February when your team is struggling. It’s how you perform when the opponent knows exactly what you’re going to do. It’s whether your teammates can rely on you every week. That’s why I respect Harry Kane so much. People look at him and see a goalscorer. But watch what he actually does. He comes short to receive the ball. He helps his midfielders. He sees passes that some midfielders don’t see. And then, somehow, he’s still in the penalty area when the chance arrives. I remember playing against Tottenham when Harry was there. Before the match, we discussed his movement, because you couldn’t simply tell your centre-backs to stay close to him. If they followed him, he could create space behind them. If they stayed where they were, he could turn and find somebody running into that space. I remember saying to one of our defenders, ‘Don’t let him make you decide everything for him.’ He looked at me and said, ‘That’s easier to say when you’re not the one marking him.’ He had a point. And Harry has been doing that for years. The difference now is that he’s finally receiving the recognition that should come with that level of consistency. Mbappe can do things Kane cannot do. Of course. But Kane can also do things Mbappe cannot do. And I don’t understand why admitting that has become so difficult. I played with Cristiano Ronaldo. I know what a truly exceptional attacker looks like. But even Cristiano understood that football isn’t decided by how impressive you look in a thirty-second video. You have to produce. Again and again. Harry has done that. And the funny thing is that people are now using Kylian’s two goals against Barcelona to argue about an award that recognises an entire season. It was a brilliant performance. But if you need to explain why somebody deserved the Ballon d’Or, you should be able to discuss more than what he did yesterday. Harry Kane won the award because of what he delivered over the season. Not because he shouted the loudest. Not because he had the most supporters arguing for him online. And certainly not because somebody felt sorry for him after his years at Tottenham. He earned it. You can prefer Mbappe as a footballer. That’s your opinion. But preferring a player doesn’t automatically mean he deserved every award that somebody else won. I think that’s something football supporters should learn to separate. Tonight belongs to Harry Kane. And I don’t think he owes anybody an apology for that.”

This is oddly cherry picked. Doesn’t include TCU beating Michigan, Baylor beating Ole Miss, OkState beating ND because it was postseason? Doesn’t include KState (2x), Baylor (2x) beating Oklahoma Doesn’t include Utah 4x because they were Pac12? Doesn’t include Cincinnati beating ND These were all top 10 wins within the last 5 years only
Over the last 20 seasons, Big 12 teams not named Oklahoma or Texas are 1-11 vs Top 10 Power 4 teams in the regular season. The lone win being Oklahoma State’s upset over Oregon earlier this year...
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Big 12 teams besides Oklahoma and Texas have multiple regular-season wins over top-10 Power 4 teams in the last 20 seasons, such as Iowa State's 37-31 double-OT upset of then-No. 2 Oklahoma State in 2011. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Okla… espn.com/college-footba… (confirms the cited OSU-Oregon win)

Best defensive performance we’ve seen out of this program since 2014, and this is the offense that @CoachSonnyDykes can produce? Absolutely unacceptable. This is not the conference championship contending football we were told is the standard. @Buddie52 @daniel_pullin

Jesus is not a fake god. He is a historical figure with strong contemporary attestation, claimed divinity through resurrection accounts that launched the world's largest religion, and stands apart from the purely mythological figures in that image.
