What a day for Kevin Willard: 1. Backs out of Big 5. 2. Publicly responds to an AI tweet critical of his Big 5 exit. 3. Skip a cancer luncheon. 4. Get skullfucked by UVA at home. 5. Blames Temple for not giving into Villanova’s Big 5 demands.

I was going through one of my old college notebooks and randomly came across my hard copy of Theo Johnson's criminal complaint. The complaint alleged Johnson punched a fraternity brother. Who was that fraternity brother? Lars Zeepvat, of Penn State cocaine ring fame...

Nova is quickly starting to feel like it’s owned by a private equity. Just do what’s best on paper, if it’a not helping Nova, they don’t want to bother. There is a beautiful tradition of Philly Hoops that is built on programs that want to be here and it will go on without them

News: Five institutions of the Philadelphia Big 5 - Drexel University, La Salle University, University of Pennsylvania, Saint Joseph's University, and Temple University - announce a round-robin scheduling format for men’s basketball beginning in 2027-28. These institutions are united in their commitment to preserving the history and enhancing the future of the Philadelphia Big 5. The round-robin format represents a renewal of the competitive spirit that has defined the city’s college basketball landscape for more than 70 years, while also preserving the future of a partnership that is distinctively Philadelphia. Any 9-3 SEC team belongs in the Playoff over a 10-2 UCLA or a 10-2 Iowa. Go look at those two schedules.

To rub salt in the wound, Bob Chesney’s third-string QB at UCLA, who was at an FCS school a year ago, has double the passing yards against Wisconsin that Rocco Becht did three weeks ago. The fourth quarter just started.

Hang the fucking banger. You know what Penn State has not had since the 2016 season? A win like UCLA or Kentucky had this week (with new coaches)!
Joe Smeltzer
@joesmeltzer775Oct 15
Had the 24-team playoff been enacted in 2016, Penn State would have made it seven times in the last 10 seasons.
