Disappointing to see these new findings from @CommunityCare - shows how engrained this negative public perception belief is amongst social workers. Not surprising with it so consistently rammed down our throats by media/policy networks (without evidence).

Additionally it’s worth making training in the understanding of DA / DV mandatory .. many times in my work I’ve found families where the dynamics have been misunderstood, the roles of parents identified wrongly all of which causes harm to children and adults

I'd agree with this, my manager loves a question or two and always says she would be worried if I thought I knew everything and didn't ask, she always reassures me that I am learning and to learn I need to ask questions. Now each week I'm having to ask less and less x
