Over the last two years, many of the most powerful people in America-tech oligarchs, college presidents, media tycoons, leaders of big law firms + basically the entire pro-Israel Jewish establishment-capitulated to Trump's authoritarianism. They abandoned American democracy in its moment of maximum peril. They should never be allowed to forget it. They should wear that shame for the rest of their lives.
