I told a hearing at the U.K. Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Select Committee that Britain can’t be half committed to international law. An arms embargo means a full embargo. Sanctions on certain settlers can’t be selective but must be levelled on the entire colonial settlement project and the government/state that sponsors it. Displaced people in #Gaza need protection from the rain and cold. Only around 23% of this need has been met, leaving 945,000 people at risk of exposure this winter.
UNRWA continues to provide support, distributing plastic tarpaulins and installing tents to offer temporary shelter and protection from the harsh conditions.
Aid is urgently required to address the overwhelming needs as the crisis deepens.

H.E. Dr @hzomlot gave a briefing today to a group of UK MPs and members of the House of Lords organised by the Liberal Democrats Friends of Palestine (LDFP).
Dr Zomlot spoke about the ongoing human catastrophe in Gaza amid the total silence of the International Community. He said an immediate ceasefire and an end to Israeli war crimes, including the deliberate starvation of the civilian population in Gaza, were imperative.
The briefing was attended by the Rt Hon and Leader of the Liberal Democrats Sir Ed Davey, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.E. Mr @ManarMDabbas, and Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mr Shareef Kamal.
