JUST IN: San Francisco Democrats endorsed Manny Yekutiel in his supervisor race tonight, despite allegations of sexual assault.
The meeting was contentious. Yekutiel's accuser took the mic, & outraged attendees cried “Shame!”

$8 million is going to four measures on the ballot for the S.F. election on June 2.
Most of that is funding dueling business-tax measures: The “overpaid CEO tax,” Prop. D, and a competing measure placed on the ballot in hopes of sinking it, Prop. C.
Had a lot of fun hosting a @MLNow District 4 candidate forum last night @SFPublicLibrary.
We talked about housing, transit, pedestrian safety and of course Sunset Dunes. Had some fun lightning round questions like "What is one thing you disagree with the mayor on?"
Much gratitude for the Sunset residents who came to hear from the candidates, and thanks to the @MLNow team for making it happen!

Beya Alcaraz, a Sunset lifer with no political experience, audaciously asked Mayor Lurie for a supervisor job.
She got it, on her 29th birthday.
And residents are confused, relieved and cautiously optimistic.

In just one week, the Mission co-op Project Artaud, was hit by seemingly the same thief 3 times.
He stole a sculpture, paintings and prints from 5 artists.
“It’s just odd,” said one artist. “But they knew what they were looking for.”

SF charges $6,000+ to put a bench in the park with a plaque in memory of a loved one.
For years, a roller-skating engineer in the Inner Sunset has been making and putting some 210 benches — in the Sunset, and around the city — for free.

Connie Chan has been re-elected to lead District 1, w/a much larger margin than her last victory.
What do the district's residents want? Usually, it's local stuff—street changes, a livelier neighborhood.
And parking. Always parking.
