I see many wondering why the No Kings rallies are not as confrontational or angry as protests in France, Albania etc, and have no concrete demands
It’s because No Kings participants are certain the Democrats will sweep the midterms, and their only demand is that we vote Democrat
These are purely get out the vote rallies for a Democrat Party that is still generally pro-war, pro-Israel, and corporate friendly
They are filled with boomerlibs hypnotized by MSNOW and first term Trump era Russiagate propaganda. Once the Dems take power, they go back to brunch.
Any more radical demands are sure to be diluted within the partisan No Kings morass, or shut down by a lady wearing a shirt that says “Resist.”

We gotta retire the term "leftist", it's completely outlived its usefulness. You're a revolutionary or you're a liberal. Just because you want slightly more progressive reforms doesn't mean you're not still a liberal. Simple as

worse than that, it serves an excellent propaganda function by obfuscating what people's politics actually are.

Are the socialists in the room with us?
I’m begging y’all to understand how manufactured all of this is. Sayed is a self-avowed capitalist. AOC stands for her own career. Bernie is a has-been and Zohran will have to capitulate to Zionist interests in order to pass his social welfare programs.
Before you shout “but it’s Newsweek!” - the purpose of a system is what it does…

Here is Ro Khanna, who you say "works for a better world", saying that Israel has the right to kill Palestinians but Palestinians have no right to fight back.

Glenn “AIPAC” Ivey won’t debate.
It’s one of the ways that the establishment pro genocide parties undermine independent candidates.
Volunteer, help get the word out.

FLASHBACK: Journalist (and now congressional candidate) @samhusseini asks the U.S. State Dept about Israel's Hannibal Directive — particularly its use on Oct 7 and/or against US citizens
Miller: "I am not familiar in any way with either that supposed directive or those reports..."
Husseini: "You've never heard of the Hannibal Directive??"

so will Dem voters shit on Jews for being single-issue voters over Israel the way how they shat on Muslims & Arabs for being single-issue voters over their people being genocided? or is this a line they don't cross because the identity of the people behind the issue now matters?
Elise Jordan chats with Oakland County(MI) Jewish Democrats for MS NOW
"It's like Sophie's Choice"
"My big block is it just comes down to this whole thing with Israel"
"We'd love for him to make a definitive statement, just say: I would like everyone to know I support Israel"
"Choosing between two fundamental principles of yourself. I have a transgender daughter and I'm Jewish...a vote for Mike Rogers is a vote for my kid to be oppressed"
"My daughter is in her second year of law school and she has to hide being Jewish"
Elise Jordan: There's very little that will make them budge at this point. They fear that he is not the ally that they need for Israel policy, but also they're really concerned about anti-Semitism and feel threatened right now.

I'll be speaking tomorrow at the University of Maryland, College Park, as part of events organized by Students for Justice in Palestine. Last year, the group won a historic $100K settlement against the university for its attack on free speech.

If you call it a genocide and then campaign alongside the politicians who armed, funded and enabled it, there are only three possibilities:
A) You don’t actually believe it’s a genocide.
B) You do believe it’s a genocide, but complicity in genocide isn’t a dealbreaker for you.
C) You know exactly what it is, but your public condemnation is cynical: you invoke “genocide” because it’s what your constituency wants to hear and because doing so advances your political career, while abandoning the consequences of that position when they become politically inconvenient.
You cannot treat genocide as the ultimate crime when speaking to Palestinians, then treat its enablers as respectable political partners when you need their endorsements, votes or access.
At that point, you’re making genocide an issue we can simply move past.
It is my honor and privilege to announce that President @BarackObama is joining us on the trail in Detroit on Saturday, October 24.

Politicians use Palestine and other noble causes.
I have a record of serving such causes.
If you want a different politics, this is your chance

Obviously Mandani used Palestine.
Just like Obama used Iraq war.
I repeatedly reached out to my contact at the Mamdani campaign asking if he would meet with these people — including US military veterans — who were fasting for peace in front of the UN. This was someone I knew quite well and had a prominent position in the campaign. Silence.

Someone told me today they wished they could vote Green if only we were "electable." I said, "If we're on the ballot, we're electable. Why aren't we electable?"
There's never a good answer for this.

Fear, intimidation, and violence against civilians are the hallmarks of a terrorist organization.
The Green Party has already labeled the IDF a terrorist organization, and ICE is likely next.
This isn't about removing violent criminals because we've seen ICE target people just for being brown, or having an accent, or having a certain type of job, or trying to help our immigrant communities.
We believe in a humane, just, and comprehensive approach to immigration and foreign policy.
To address the root causes of displacement, the United States should drastically reduce the tide of migration by ending interventionist policies and economic sanctions abroad, while increasing humanitarian aid to stabilize affected regions.
Domestically, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished and replaced with an Office of Citizenship, Refugees, and Immigration Services dedicated to upholding human rights and due process.
Refugee programs and visa availability should be significantly expanded, while DACA protections should be strengthened and updated.
To ensure fairness and efficiency in adjudication, immigration courts should be fully staffed and funded, and additional asylum officers should be hired to uphold the United States’ obligations under international and domestic law. – at Eugene, OR

Once again, he makes genocide an issue of policy disagreement. I said it before and I’ll say again, someone who is so utterly cowardly and willing to pivot wherever the wind slightly blows if it means winning, is someone who will absolutely fight for nothing. A bonafide Democrat.
With Kamala Harris campaigning with him in Detroit, Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed said his positions on Gaza have not changed.
“I was very clear that I disagreed with my party when it came to the genocide,” he said, opposing unconditional US military aid and the newly authorized $2.8 billion bomb sale to Israel. “None of those positions have changed at all. I’m not going to change them.”
El-Sayed nevertheless urged Democrats divided over Gaza to build a coalition against Trump, arguing the country would be better positioned on “everything from gas to groceries to Gaza” had Trump lost in 2024.
