This will be my last regular post to Twitter. My Mastodon address is in my bio. Or, just in case that gets censored:
```
let myNewName = "@\(myTwitterName)@\(["toot", "community"].joined(separator: "."))"
```
Honestly, I’m tempted to hang around for the disaster porn — it’s like the slow motion wreck of a train loaded with dumpster fires — but on balance I think a clean break is better
Unlike many of you here, I don’t have particularly fond memories of Twitter. It’s there, I use it, whatever. However, I’m outraged that one utter bawbag can do this much damage just because he’s rich
*sigh*
I shoulda done this months ago but, this being the first day of my winter break, I finally have time for…
Moving to Mastodon
Add Shared with You to your app, “Set the background style … to `.color` when placing the attribution view over monochrome backgrounds”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
What’s new in Vision, “We’ve … made debugging Vision applications much easier … with Quick Look Preview support”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
What’s new with SKAdNetwork, “In SKAdNetwork 4.0, we have a way to send more data while retaining our privacy protections”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
Create your Privacy Nutrition Label, “I’ll be highlighting a few examples based on our experience”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
Explore App Tracking Transparency, “fingerprinting is never allowed”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
Evolve your Core Data schema, “While lightweight migration handles many different scenarios, CloudKit is more restricted”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
Demystify parallelization in Xcode builds, “Sandboxing … blocks shell scripts from accidentally accessing … files … unless … explicitly declared as an input or output”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
As Scotland descends into its first cold snap of the season, I realise that there’s another benefit of sticking with the Intel MacBook Pro (-:
Track down hangs with Xcode and on-device detection, “discover and diagnose hangs at each phase in the development process”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
Create accessible Single App Mode experiences, “`UIAccessibility` … lets you create custom restrictions to tailor the experience of your app during Guided Access”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
This is such a good tip. I have a hot key that uses text-to-speech to read out the current selection. It flushes out all sorts of problems, just as this preso explains
[Hence that wacky bug report, @siegel]
Writing for interfaces, “read your writing out loud”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV

Discover Benchmarks in App Analytics, “[use] peer group benchmarking [to] learn about the [App Store] performance of apps that are similar to your app in a privacy-friendly way”, developer.apple.com/wwdc22/1… #eskimoTV
And this, my friends, is a perfect illustration of why we give technotes short numbers that are easy to remember and easy to type

Right. The whole concept of file-based keychains is effectively deprecated. Switch to the data protection keychain if you can. If not — and this typically means you’re running outside user a context, in a daemon say — continuing with the file-based keychain is fine
