After Donald Trump referred to Norway as a “s**thouse country,” the Norwegian tourism board responded by highlighting the country's architect-designed public toilets.
Under the slogan “Norway makes s**thouses great again,” Visit Norway showcased restrooms along Norway's scenic routes, including the golden, triangular building at Ersfjordstranda on Senja Island and the wave-shaped Ureddplassen restroom overlooking the Norwegian Sea.
Both facilities were built years before the campaign as part of Norway's National Tourist Routes program, which incorporates contemporary architecture and design into roadside infrastructure.
