One of the things I'm most encouraged by in this work is what becomes possible when philanthropy, technical expertise, and public-interest leadership come together around a shared challenge.
I'm grateful to @sayskaty, Laura Maher, and the entire @siegelendowment team for their partnership, and to @AndrewFATHOM for his leadership in helping bring this work and this community together.
These are big questions, no single institution or sector can answer them alone. Building a trustworthy AI ecosystem will require strong partnerships, shared learning & sustained investment in the infrastructure and independent institutions that can help make accountability real.
This week during the UNGA, @siegelendowment and @Fathom_org convened Philanthropy at the Frontier, bringing philanthropic leaders together in NY to engage with experts across the AI ecosystem and explore where philanthropy can have the greatest impact as AI continues to evolve.
So proud of our internship cohort and the impact they’re making in CO this summer!
Today, a few of our BUILD CO Scholars got to meet with @denversmayor at a community event they supported. These interns are part of the incredible 18-person cohort currently working all across Colorado on all things community development and affordable housing.

No one can predict how far or fast AI will reshape work. So instead of betting on one future, we mapped what solutions hold across all of them. 🧵
Honored to moderate a conversation with @pauladupre at Aspen Ideas Fest, as Sundance lands in CO. Get ready to celebrate the power of storytelling and so much more.

Real momentum out of Connecticut last week. By authorizing the first IVO pilot in the country, lawmakers are showing that safety and innovation aren’t competing values but reinforcing ones. Proud of the @Fathom_org team and the partners moving this work forward with us.
Proud to launch the 3rd cohort of BUILD CO Scholars, a statewide paid internship for undergrad & grad students focused on affordable housing, community development and civic engagement across Colorado.

This week, @Fathom_org brings together extraordinary leaders from around the globe to find, build and scale solutions as we transition to a world with AI. Last year was about convening, this year, we’re moving from ideas to action.
Big week ahead!

I just got back from Davos with the @Fathom_org team, and it honestly felt like two different worlds.
Outside, AI was everywhere: the billboards, the stages, the certainty.
Inside the rooms, there was far more uncertainty. Pressure to prove ROI. Real disagreement about where LLMs are headed next. And too often, the people who will bear the costs, including workers and communities, weren’t in the room when decisions were being made.
That gap is why governance matters. We need practical oversight that can keep pace, build trust, and support responsible adoption as this technology moves deeper into everyday life.
I wrote up my takeaways in our new Substack post: A Tale of Two Realities: Observations from Davos.

Big Win for the Housing Consortium & affordable housing in CO! Good things happen community leaders collaborate across sectors! The SOLUTION is the only agenda!
Colorado is breaking down barriers to more housing people can afford and this one-stop shop will help make that possible in more communities across our state. This effort will save people, and local communities, time and money when building new homes in Colorado.
The Housing Hub Colorado is a new one-stop-shop to streamline funding processes for affordable rental housing developments that also seek public funds, and strengthen Colorado’s commitment to safe, stable, and secure housing for all. Housing Hub Colorado is the first initiative launching out of the Colorado Housing Consortium.
