Pourquoi Kigali ?

Why Kigali? @CityofKigali represents what is possible when political leadership, institutional discipline, and long-term vision come together. Rwanda has demonstrated that reform in public institutions, service delivery, and accountability is not theoretical - it is achievable with sustained leadership and clear responsibility. Hosting the Africa Water & Sanitation Systems Leadership Symposium 2026 in Kigali is therefore intentional. It anchors the Symposium in a context where systems thinking, reform implementation, and delivery culture are taken seriously. Kigali is not a backdrop. It is a signal - that Africa’s water future will be shaped by leadership that delivers. Learn more here; africawatersystems.org/ #WaterSanitationForAll #Kigali2026
