I came across a theory that AI is starting to make more mistakes because the internet is increasingly polluted with AI slop. The idea of AI cannibalising itself into obscurity is one of my favourite things ever. I hope it is true and I hope it becomes impossible to fix.

For AI fucking data centers. Destroying the planet so people can ask a chatbot the fucking weather. Or to write a fucking email. Or to steal our children's future. Or so an AI agent can hack your bank account. What a horrific disgrace to our planet.
Google illegally cleared an estimated 250,000 trees across 330 hectares of forest in Muhos, northern Finland, to prepare for a new AI data center before completing mandatory environmental impact assessments And another 150,000 trees felled at Otanmäki theguardian.com/environment/…

“James told me there's an old saying here on Earth. 'May you be in Heaven half an hour before the Devil knows you're dead.' Not sure if Turian heaven is the same as yours, but if this thing goes sideways and we both end up there, meet me at the bar. I'm buying." - Garrus

Accidentally became Traynor's girlfriend in Mass Effect 3, because my Shepard didn't romance anyone in ME1 or 2, so she wanted some fun and me, the player, def assumed ME romancing was gonna work the same as it did in Dragon Age and I got got. (Traynor romance was cute, tho.)
Everyone share ur fave BioWare gameplay experience anecdotes with me please

welcome to life kids, here’s your screen. you absolutely have to learn how to use this thing because your entire professional and social life will be plugged into it. just don’t get lost in the infinite addiction portal that is also on there for some reason haha ok kids have fun
This is an incredible project: NBC News asked parents to check their kids' YouTube history during school hours — and the results show kids are spending huge chunks of the day watching videos that have nothing to do with learning nbcnews.com/specials/hooked-…

Do you remember when radio stations used to give away concert tickets and backstage passes? | just heard a midday radio giveaway, and now the prizes are groceries, a year of gas, or rent paid. It's a strange reminder that survival has become the prize. That's pretty sad.

I don't know why AI sloppers get so upset when we call it slop. It's not like we're insulting their work.

one of the twists in real world AI is that, in scifi, it was assumed that the danger would be that we'd raise the machine to the level of a human soul. but to be honest, it seems we're most in danger of debasing the human soul to the level of machine.
Trying not to angry cry. The organization my deceased friend served for years "wrote" him a memorial on Facebook, but they couldn't even be bothered to delete the AI prompt they used. The top of the post says, "Certainly. Here's a shorter, heartfelt version." He deserves better.
