how about trains
LA traffic is the worst. I can’t imagine how much of life is wasted in a car in LA. Can’t wait for @boringcompany @elonmusk to get rid of this problem. xitter.cf/dibraadam/status/16089…

Add some more anti-Blackness and anti-indigenous colorism to the long list of reasons you pieces of shit need to resign @kdeleon @CD6Nury @cmgilcedillo.

This is very very very sad news.

This has been a big mind shift for me— not increasing my clothing budget, to afford more sustainable clothes, but keeping keeping my budget the same and buying less.

Clothing is the cheapest it’s ever been (accounting for inflation) and a lot of that is due to unfair wages and fossil-fuel based fabrics. We’re so used to paying single digits for clothes, but the people and planet are paying much, much more.

No, you cannot have meaningful climate action and fossil fuel expansion at the same time. The two are diametrically opposed

And the sweeps continue. Tell me — did what happened in the horseshoe look like an attack on human rights and constitutional democracy? Or does it look more like this city-sanctioned violence that happened right down the street from City Hall? xitter.cf/jtownaction/status/155…
LITTLE TOKYO WEEKLY SWEEP: Unhoused residents of Toriumi Plaza faced another @kdeleon sweep in today’s 90° heat. As usual, no housing offered. Instead, watch LAPD trample our friend’s tent, then attempt to step on his leg. In LA’s War on the Poor, the violence is the point.

41.18 = death.
NEW: Representative Karen Bass said she supports the City Council's expansion of 41.18 to ban camping near all schools while on the campaign trail with Nury Martinez. "Yesterday, I supported the Council President. Today, I support the Council President."

BREAKING 🚨 LA City Council is voting next Wed to make homelessness illegal in approximately 20% of the entire city (at least 88 sq miles). This amendment will add ~1,900 41.18 sites, a 376% increase. We updated our 41.18 map to show the drastic change. 4118.mejiaforcontroller.com
ATTENTION🚨 Next Wed, City Council will pass a 41.18 amendment that MASSIVELY expands criminalization zones. We've had ENOUGH. #Repeal4118 Join us at City Hall next week to call for the outright repeal of 41.18. Share this thread and take action now! servicesnotsweeps.com/toolki…

710 expansion was the definition of inequity: “Black and Latino residents make up an estimated 83% of the 1.2 million people who live along the 710 corridor. The area accounts for about 20% of all particulate emissions in [SoCal], according to Metro.” latimes.com/california/story…

Los Angeles folks: I believe that we all need to be a LOT more worried about Rick Caruso's candidacy. We're on the verge of allowing a Trumpian, anti-abortion billionaire to buy our city government. And he can do it this June, in the primary, if we don't stop him. Thread:
