"We share the will of the younger generation to protect our European path" — Members of the Georgian academic community gathered in the courtyard of the first building of Tbilisi State University to present a joint manifesto, signed by over 450 professors, lecturers and doctoral students. They condemned that law enforcement was allowed into the university, which was followed by the dispersal of peaceful protesters, including TSU students, emphasizing the responsibility to stand with those fighting for freedom. "A university must not become a closed space or a party to violence but remain a hub of freedom, critical thinking and progress", they added. The group also announced plans for a march on Sunday.
