there's something about twt that makes you feel like you can say literally anything. the internet might agree, disagree, drag you or change your life. all in one afternoon.
so yeah, i think it's time i start talking about ads here. no linkedin, no instagram. just twt.
sometimes i badly need to describe images like in my voice note. no words will help me. you really need to hear me out plsssss.
that image has a fat ass story and only a voice note will keep you hooked trust me.
the concept of laddoo, barfi and kaju katli shaped candles is sending me. imagine being so festive that you willingly set your mithai on fire. is this decor or a very expensive way of making wax ka gola?
your 9-to-5 self may have its complaints, but the hangry office girl/guy in you will never complain about a diwali hamper.
i've been saying this for the longest time, but until a few years ago, i genuinely couldn't imagine doing things by myself. i couldn't even go to a xerox shop alone. i was so fond of company, so used to the warmth and comfort of being around my joint family,
and please, don't convince yourself that nobody will ever ask you to hang out or that you're somehow missing out because you're doing things alone.
sometimes, you just have to put yourself out there. take that first step, make that plan, go anyway.
and if someone wants to join you, let them. if someone asks you out and you feel like going, go. don't turn down good company in the name of independence either.
sit alone, eat alone, go for a run alone, explore a new place alone. you'll slowly realise that you're capable of so much more than you give yourself credit for. there's a certain kind of freedom in knowing that you don't have to wait for someone else to make your plans happen.
show up for people and let people show up for you. but trust me, mate, if you're feeling lonely or finding it difficult to be by yourself, try doing something you've always been a little scared to do alone. it might just become your favourite kind of company.
at the end of the day, you have yourself, and you will always have yourself.
and i'm not saying this means you stop making friends, going out, finding your people or enjoying company. absolutely not. make plans, say yes to invitations,
i was someone who couldn't even sit and eat alone, and now i've realised that there are days when you need to do exactly that. sit with your thoughts, eat your meal, take yourself places and just be. because a little part of you eventually realises that,
