While every other politician in Canada is spending today reaffirming this fundamental right, Ford has been silent. Meanwhile, one of his top MPPs has been filmed standing outside the legislature - *our* legislature - pledging to end abortion access: xitter.cf/ASimardL/status/152155…
Watch @samoosterhoff, a top Doug Ford MPP outside the legislature "pledging" to end abortion. Ford made this Conservative responsible for overseeing public schools. Why is Doug Ford letting him run under the Conservative banner? Where does Ford stand on a woman's right to choose?

We have a plan to defeat Doug Ford's conservative government. Our grassroots, volunteer-led effort is doing the work to #UniteTheVote in Toronto and shut out Ford's PCs. On June 2nd, #Toronto fights back. Join the movement at NotOneSeat.ca #TOpoli #OnPoli #NotOneSeat

The immediate answer to variants should not be third boosters. It should be global vaccine equity. We will continue to have new, more virulent variants if we allow the virus to grow unchecked. What happens in another part of the world will absolutely impact us.

I am so fucking sick of the Ontario tweets telling me "get vaccinated" as if getting vaccinated isn't what I've been trying to do for the past five fucking months.

NACI just needs to stop. They’ve done more for vaccine hesitancy than any group in Canada. I’m sure business classes will be using them as a case study on how NOT to communicate your message in the near future.

Reminder: Rod Phillips broke the rules to leave for a Caribbean vacation during a humanitarian disaster when 1 senior was dying every hour in LTC...and today, became the Minister of LTC.

We're just weeks away from Stage 2 but @MacLeodLisa & @fordnation have yet to make it clear what's allowed for the Live Arts! For orgs like @TOpictureshow, "open with capacity and other restrictions" doesn't mean much for planning & ticket sales. #FairnessForArtsON #onpoli

tell me how i can go on dominos pizza dot com and see my pizza get made and delivered in real time while no one seems to be able to easily book a second dose vaccine without a government site crashing or being offered a shot at locations like 100 km away – at Toronto, Ontario

UPDATE: There are now 16 whales, dolphins and countless pinnipeds missing at MarineLand since winter. A dolphin named Tsunami is expected to die soon. Their lawyer Andrew Burns is trying to hide the deaths, but that won’t be an option for much longer. Employees are growing tired.

Think about how slowly @fordnation has moved to protect students, workers, and vulnerable communities throughout the pandemic, and contrast that with how quickly he is moving to return Legislature and make use of the nuclear option to claim an electoral advantage.
BREAKING: Ontario will invoke the notwithstanding clause for the first time in its history to overrule yesterday’s provincial judicial ruling that struck down Premier Doug Ford’s curbs on unions’ electoral spending. House resumes tomorrow at 3 pm. #onpoli

As a civics teacher, I have always taught with a sense of pride, that Ontario has never invoked the notwithstanding clause; we have faith in the rule of law. No longer. @fordnation has secured his place in history as the only Ontario premier to -remove- the rights of citizens.

I asked Toronto city staff how long until the 500 of the 700 city drinking fountains currently shut off will be operational. I didn't get a date and the answer suggests it might be a while.
